Anyone know if you can upgrade the Blood Dragon Armor to Tier 7 like you can do with the Warden's? I tried it but didn't work for me. But I've messed up other things in the game before until I checked with what others were doing here in the forums.

Thanks in advance!

No. It's arguably the best armor in the game anyway.

Could it be, that the Warden's is the only armour which can be upgraded?

I tried it with the "old elven armour", "juggernaut" and many more, but they stay the same in the shop's inventory (shop in camp).

It's only with armors that have more than one tier version. Which is pretty much just "common" armors and Warden's.

The only upgrade that thing needs is a visual one.

"Common armours"... that's plain leather or metal without special bonusses, which will upgrade on the dependant tier, and - so to say - scale with the level of the PC, right?
If you mean these armours, then yes, I noticed that, too.

But for the better ones, if I understood correctly what you wrote, is the Warden's the only one which has several tier versions and the other "good" armours have not, thus they can't be upgraded, right?

I remember someone posted the stats of a Blood Dragon tier 7, not sure if it was a mock-up or included in the DLC. If it's real and someone can get me the tag of that, I can make a mod that let you upgrade to tier 7.

Theres a trick to it. Its kind of like refreshing the vendor on the normandy in Mass Effect 1, I just upgraded the entire Warden Commanders armor set to dragonbone, but it took me a little while. You sell the item to the vendor [I used the dwarf at the camp] and then you save the game. Reload that save and check his inventory, if any of the pieces you want upgraded have upgraded, buy them and save again. Then reload the save once more. Do this as often as you need to and the gear will eventually upgrade for you [provided youre high enough level for that tier of armor anyway]. All in all it took me about 30 saves/loads but I got the gear upgraded.

While it might not be the "best" armor, it's still very good. The difference between it and other sets aren't so massive that you're screwing yourself if you keep using it.

My main complaint; Why haven't they fixed it for female elves yet? :(

I've only been able to upgrade Warden's and Cailan's. I think Blood Dragon is stuck at Silverite.

They did.  Fair warning though, the 1.1 version has worse stats, but there are workarounds in that thread to get the fixed armor textures with the good stats.

If you want the stats of the BDA with a tier 7 armor, you could use the Black Templars Armor - looks waaaaaaaaay better anyway:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooo.  Man, why was that a separate patch?  Why wasn't that just worked into the main patch or a DLC itself?  Or on the bioware/EA patch site?

Man...  Man, I just finished my run through with that character yesterday, wearing the bugged armor the entire time.

Man....  :(

I think it has to do with it being DLC, and not main game content.  From this post it sounds like they don't have a way of automatically pushing out DLC updates.

Poor game design then. I see a lot of people reporting that the bug fix is bugged itself, outright deleting peoples armors?

Grrr.

I never installed the update because the stats of BDA 1.1 are very poor. My female elf is a rogue, so I don't care about the bug. :)

Can anybody explain to me how the upgrade glitch works?
