Did you know that to get Anders to stab you in the back in the fade you have to take the deal with Torpor?

He only attacks you if you decide to make a deal with the demon, and he warns you that he will attack you as well, unlike the rest of the group where you can't make any choice regarding the matter. They would just betray you outright.

Anders is under the control of Justice throughout this part, and thus can't be tempted by the demons.  Perhaps if the merge with Justice never happened, he would have been just as vulnerable as the others.
