Skip the first 18 minutes. Then it goes until ~1hr40mins. Haven't watched after that.
They covered, roughly, (my net isn't great, so I'm having trouble reviewing bits of the feed)
- introducing the panelists, their expertise, experience, entrance into industry etc
- pathways into games writing and writing for BioWare
- specific devices for creating dialogue, like comic timing, dialogue wheel etc
- um - I'm missing something important to do with learning the craft through being a DM, or something (sorry)
- sexuality? or, keeping a track of conditionals for a variety of criss crossing romance options?
- creating a safe/resectful workspace to foster good writing
(I totally should have taken notes)
- Jessica Merizan's hair colour and community interaction
- Getting feedback on your writing/practicing etc
Oh. And this I did take note of - 1hr22mins - how future games will make use of closer connections between writers and gameplay designers, for example, a character's class/abilities may be influenced/linked to their story.
(Tell me if I got any of that wrong. But, cool panel. Thanks HEAPS for recording it.)
