I'm sure that this has been discussed before, but I'm new to this forum, and relatively new to the series. I started off on ME2 for PS3 and before I play ME3, I'd like to go back to the original and play through the whole series without the purchase of a new console or computer. I was wondering if anyone else felt this way.
ME1 for PS3?

You missed a thread about it on the very first page of this forum. Short answer is no you're not alone but it's never going to happen. AIUI Mass Effect was an XBox 360 exclusive game, which means that Microsoft probably has a contract saying no other platforms get a port of Mass Effect without their permission. Ever. A Windows version was never going to cause a scene but you can be sure that MS would no more allow a version to go to their main console competitor than they would allow a version for Mac.
PS the Genesis DLC might interest you. It covers most of the ME1 story and allows you to make about 6 or 7 plot decisions to import into a ME2 game, but it misses out all side missions and even one plot world. However, it's about all there is of ME1 for PS3 users, and probably all they're ever going to get.
