It just dawned on me, that maybe Reapers don't Harvest everything I mean what will they do with  cats and dogs and those sort of life forms? do they just leave them or do they kill them?

also I thaught that the Reapers only Harvested advanced races last time I looked Bruts where not that advanced.
and do the Reapers know of the AI super child on the citadel?

Brutes are a combination of krogans and turians, and they are advanced races.

Mass effect 1, in particular, showed that they leave the less advanced races, such as 'cats and dogs' alone.

Thats how the cycle works, they reap the spaceflight civilisations, an leave the others, which then evolve and are reaped in the next cycle.

I don't think cats and dogs are going to evolve into intelligent life.

I think it is more accurate to say that lifeforms that do not appear to have sentience are beneath the concerns of the Reapers. That is to say that they are inconsequential. It's not a matter of being left alone because they are not advanced. It's a matter of being ignored entirely because they have no consequence to the current cycle and will probably not evolve to be dominant species in the next cycle.

In other words, the Reapers would pay no more attention to them than they would to say, fireflies.

They do harvest harvesters (how ironic) which don't appear to be intelligent life.

Hard to say, according to vigil when they harvest they kinda devastate the planet so life forms that don't get harvested might just go extinct through the effect they have on planet.
According to the Catalyst though they wait for each species to get to a certain point before harvesting them, so cat's would have to develop space flight before that happened. Unless your a potentiall useful life form like the harvesters, then you're just f*cked.
Glowboy "embodies" the knowledge of all the Reapers so I'm guessing they're aware of him, they certainly seem to share his harvesting idea. Sovereign seems to have a different perspective on the matter, but hey details.

They would harvest cats and dogs but then they'd get fur all over their furniture and then they wouldn't be able to spend the next 50,000 years browsing new pics on memebase

They turn them into Harvester husks. Whether they harvest the Harvesters is still an unknown. Unless the Harvesters are a space-faring species, we may never know.

And they went out of their way to breed fake-rachni, if you killed the Queen in ME1. Apparently, the need to have heavy but expendible units is an acceptible deviation to the structure of the harvesting process.

Regardless, unlike the Turian, Krogan, Asari, etc, it's unlikely that the Harvesters would be harvested into a destroyer or capital ship. A weapon of convenience, it appears, and little more.

This is directed to the people saying they ignore lower life entirely.

The Reapers "ignore" lower life forms by decimating the planet around them.
