This probably will sound like a rant again but...Ok it is... I've just finished a multiplayer game where we got this problem at least 3 times during the match. I suspect they (hoster) lost connection or bombed out. If it happened once I could understand it as someone getting fed up or was called away (by mommy or wify) but 3 times in a single game??
Yes , it was a Random set of players and we didn't do too bad. Best is, I actually recorded the game (Fraps) as proof.
Seeing how many 'complaints' there are lately with people loosing connections or stuff this isn't funny anymore. I myself have now experienced the Origin going into 'offline' mode several times for no reason (and I have no other connection issues to any other site)
These kind of issues are really becoming a major issue that will drive even loyal players away. Like someone else on the forums said (might have been a typo) This is now Mess Effect... A real mess..
Please BioWare, fix this. Soon!
Host player has left the game

Yeah, if I don't get disconnected from a match then there is ALWAYS someone dropping out. Half the time it is the host, which of course means redoing a wave.
It is getting quite annoying. I don't dare attempt a gold. The consumables and time involved are too dear.
I guess I haven't given up entirely because I only feel like playing a handful of matches a day anyway. Once I get the first dc in round 9ish I just call it a night. There are probably a lot of people approaching it that way right now, which is why it hasn't completely fallen off the cliff.
Maybe the publishers are happy with that. I doubt it though. I'm sure they would like more players and hours equaling more (possible) income. Or maybe they really don't mind because they are not seeing much decrease in BP purchases yet and are therefore saving money on server usage at this point.
I HOPE that they are working on a fix. Sometimes I do feel like playing more and sometimes I do feel like gold or platinum. That ain't gonna happen right now, and I sure as HELL ain't gonna spend real dough on anything.
You never know with these guys though. They are not real big on communicating with their customers.
(I'm not through buying games from EA/Bioware. I am certainly NEVER pre-ordering from them again. I like Bioware's output but they don't deserve 60 bucks if they are gonna dis us so badly.)

Same stuff has happened to me as well (especially this weekend). Origin went into offline mode several times while I was in the game, kicking me out of MP. I've also had several instances losing connection to the servers while in MP.
Then, in the odd instance where everything is going fine for me but the host leaves, the game states that it is restarting the wave, but instead kicks me all the way back out to the character selection screen, thus losing me all of the credits and experience I would have gotten from the match.
Bioware really needs to get on top of these server issues, because they are really starting to get out of hand and are becoming way more common.
