Ummm... My enraged, bayonet wielding, martial artist, full melee (including tech armor) Krogan Sentinel doesn't do nearly that much damage. On Silver. Don't get me wrong, he does a ton of damage, but on gold everything has more health and shields on top of the fact that the Krogan has one of the best melees in the game, landing at a base of 200 points higher than said adept heavy melee.
To clarify, I can one hit kill any basic troopers (assault and centurians) with said bonuses, and I can obviously kill Guardians if I can get behind them, and engineers are a joke. But then we get to Phantoms. I need one melee to knock out their barriers and a shot or another melee to finish them. That is what you are claiming the human can do. Also I noticed a major difficulty in attacking Banshees. This may, however, be the simple result of my martial artist bonus wearing off, as Banshees are often saved for last. Still the point about phantoms remains and is kind of iffy.
Are you sure. My fully melee specced Krosent easily one shots every mooks in gold. One heavy melee gets phantoms down to 2 or 3 health bar.
Even with an awesome melee or move a class has you still need to use it accordingly to situations anyway. Krosent shouldnt melee banshee unless it's the last 1 or 2 and in this case the HA shouldnt melee phantoms head on either.

Honestly, the OP's claims seem wrong. It doesn't do THAT ungodly amount of damage, but in comparison to the Krogan and Batarian melees, which are stronger, it seems more effective.
Krogans get the, um... whatever it's called. I'm having a brain fart. Kill enough enemies in a short amount of time with a melee, that thing. Cool. They also charge forward for theirs to cover ground, and have a lot of health. That makes them an ideal melee class, except that they rely on killing multiple, when their kills can be stolen and the charge can sometimes overly complicate simply hitting a target.
Batarians have a lock-on heavy and ways to stagger or freeze the opponent (needles, subnet, shockwave), and, to my knowledge, the highest base damage of any heavy melee. But that melee takes forever. They make up for it with blade armor.
The melee spec for the human adept doesn't do as much damage, but after playing with her all day, I found what she does that makes her seem so damn effective. The melee cones, comes out immediately, stuns, and can hit multiple targets at once. As long as I time it effectively, I can actually stun a Phantom over and over until dead. I can kill two or three enemies at once. And I can always stagger with Shockwave or Singularity before dashing in and insta-meleeing.
Honestly, this may have become my new favorite class. Not because the melee is broken or glitched, but because it's a close-range adept that, IMO, is even better than the Fury when specced right. I can get a fairly easy BE, set off others' BEs and TBs, use Singularity for CC, stun everything...
How have I never used this class before?

About point one, this is true, but mind you that those bars of health still require a second melee, no matter how few there are.
About the second, I only melee banshees to break an insta kill. It works very reliably, if I get there in time. Otherwise, it's up to the Widow or Claymore, depending on which I have out... Though if it is the last enemy, danger to self is no longer considered.

slapped a brute with warp then heavy melee'd....4 bars of armor gone!! ravagers just went PADOOM!
marauders...one heavy melee...shields and 3 bars of health..GONE!
Banshees...warp and melee...3-4 bars of barrier..GONE!
Husks and those hunchback bastards...insta kill!
yeah the melee damage is sick...but it was just too difficult to close with the bad guys.
not really a big fan of the human adept...and never used it in a gold match before last night...but, as i said above, I was impressed. dont know if would use it often...as it is more of a rambo...Leroy Jenkins type build. The N7 Shadow is my ninja!!! (meaning..i would take her over the HA for Rambo action).
build as follows:

Lol you can post all the numbers you want, have a field day doing it to. But until you actually go play it and see what it does they are just numbers to me. Your trying to argue against something i see every time i PLAY the character. That Ive done personally multiple times. Everyone else including yourself are arguing over something youve never done before and have no knowledge of. Thats just stupid.
So in closing, everyone who doubts it just go play it. If you dont want to, you shouldnt waste your time posting.
you've posted build.
than you've said that you human adept hits harder than melee spec batarian, shadow even.
and now you just saying "LOL try it yourself you noob".
it's just definiton of trolling.
as I said, it's not worh my respec card.ppl like you make me laugh. laugh hard.Good lord if your not even gonna try it then just shut the hell up and go away, its that simple. People like you make me sick lol.
Holy ****, how much of a f*ckface do can one person be? The OP merely pointed out a build that worked for him. If you're interested, try it out, if not, shut the f*ck up and leave. He didn't force you into trying it. In fact, he didn't do anything to offend anyone, yet you're just being a rude piece of ass to him for no apparent reason.
Seriously, just stop posting.

Drell and Human Vanguard melees have the same animation/knockback effect, do they have a similar effect vs armor?
The human adept as a different melee than the human vanguard. I've used the drellguard plenty, and I've never gotten 3 kills with one heavy melee. Human Adept can do that.

The melee itself isn't quite as godly as the OP describes, but it's surprisingly effective, and really turns the Human Adept from possibly the worst adept choice to one of the best. He/She plays like a Batarian Soldier, but with the ability to throw BE's from range. The HA can be effective on a team full of Engineers, unlike the other adepts. That's saying something.
I've been using almost nothing but her for the last couple days. REALLY fun class to use once you figure her out.

I am very used to leading and carrying PUG groups, but I was definitely having difficulties this time around. That being said, I think the wide open nature of the map, added with my extreme Rambo esque recklessness wasn't helping.
Overall I think this is a pretty neat little build, and definitely helps make the dusty HA a little more fun/viable. If I'd have hung back and used my Falcon and Powers more I could definitely see it being a thing of beauty. Not quite as powerful as OP claims, but still very impressive.

Thank you. I was not aware of that. Other things to note in that thread, heavy melees (at least some of them) do have damage type modifiers.
So... things get even more mysterious.![]()
