In celebration of reaching a round number on the Vault, I spent some time on the (hopefully) last patch, v1.20 is up on the Nexus (Link). I'll see about uploading to the Vault. This fixes all known issues except the cleric companions domains. Because I had to make campaign level changes, you can not patch to 1.20, you must begin a new game.

Fixed:
  • The Stronghold. Time now passes correctly etc. (repeatedly tested)
  • Carcarin's sidequest (repeatedly tested).
  • Neon walls in a specific area. (I had to create a new area and place each tile individually, then terra-coppa the non-tile info).
  • Leadership feat was confirmed working by Vault player on v 1.10, except for Mu'tasin. Now valid for getting all companions.
  • Food Supply quest.
  • Improvements in the Muzad Trade Dispute quest.
Complete list of all fixed bugs in every version ever (even pre-release), for amusement.

No more neon walls.

:o

I thought those were unfixable! And, wow, so that's how the neon area really looks, what a difference...

Well, I'll have to give it another go and see the new content, specially that damn stronghold!

Leadership feat was confirmed working by Vault player on v 1.10, except for Mu'tasin. Now valid for getting all companions.

So you couldn't recruit Mu'tasin if you already had 4 (?) companions, but you could recruit others if Mu'tasin was already in the party? Well, no matter anymore if it's fixed now I guess.

[not a bug, as a cleric he is not proficient] Mu'tasin apparently can not wear Bahgigoth's Axe (???).

War domain should fix that. I believe it's canon for his deity's. He'd get a Weapon Focus on a different weapon, but should be able to equip axes anyway.

Planning on adding any new content, or just bug fixes? I remember suggesting, among other things, some sort of "fatality" for monks in conversations, but I don't know if you ever added it, or even if you liked the idea or considered it too much of a joke to include :P.

According to the poster on the Vault, they could get other companions, but not Mu'Tasin, when they had Leadership. I checked the conversations and fixed Mu'tasin. Technically you could have gotten him, but there were two different recruit dialogs, and one didn't have it.

Hmm, I forgot about the domain bug when I made the first post. That's still a known issue.

Advancing the stronghold adds a bit of content. It was in there, but couldn't be accessed because the time didn't advance. I didn't check all the way to the end of the Stronghold time, but there are some emissaries and others that show up. And Carcarin's quest has four small maps that couldn't be accessed previously. No ripping people's hearts out as a monk, sorry. There is no other new content. I considered random encounters on the overland map because I think it would be cool to fight on the map, but didn't add them (it would be another incompatible patch to add that since I'd have to change the map). If you want to wait a week or so I can add some encounters to the overland map and re-upload.

The neon walled area simply can't use the intended textures, so I went with the default textures of the tileset. There's even a bug with those, the open floor tile will not show the golden tinted texture ingame. I do like the look. The dual color of the tiles looks like snakeskin, which is appropriate for the area anyway.

Shame.

Well, your module, your decission. Changing the map sounds like a lot of work, though, what would you need to change, out of curiosity? How would you handle the encounters, would they be SoZ-style (so you can spot/avoid them), or something like Final Fantasy (if you've played any, no idea if that's doable in NWN2), or something else?

I would just add regular encounters to the overland map. You'd fight them like any normal battle.

Ripping people's hearts out I could add in a normal patch, since it would be done via regular conversations, which can be patched.

I don't really want to put in too much time. I'd rather work on new things than adding content to things people have already played.

It's ok, I just remembered that conversation about heart ripping. That kind of things wouldn't add much to the module anyway, and there's Crimmor.

Files are now up at the Nexus. I'm ftp-ing them to the Vault now, but it's been nearly three weeks of no updates at the Vault, so I'm not sure when the next Vault update will be.

Someone reported, and I confirmed, that several modules in the download on the Nexus were corrupt. I checked and the module folders were empty (!). I'll have to get my v1.10 backup and refix the bugs from those modules. I'll get that fixed and re-uploaded this weekend.

ok, a non-corrupted v1.20 is up at the Nexus. I made one last adjustment, Mu'Tasin has martial weapon proficiency added (he was raised in his clan after all, it made sense), and has weapon focus longsword added, which his War domain should give him. I also made him level 5 instead of 6, which means you get to choose his level 6 feat.

I also confirmed that Mu'Tasin and Laisera have appropriate domains in the toolset.

Are you finally going to add OM fights?

Too much time for too little payback in terms of number of players. The module's not lacking in other content. :)

Ok, I agree, just making sure in case I replay some day.
