I think it had something to do with how they have the cluster grenades meaning that in order to set up and detonate their own biotic explosions, they need to use consumables...which still hasn't changed, but it doesn't seem to hurt anyone's feelings anymore. I personally never felt that the drell were a bad class, but I suppose some people did.

If you frequented other game forums back in the day, you'd see a LOT of Drell-Hate threads. There were a few Drell-Love threads too, but... well, they were considered the worst.

When I saw a guy with an N7 level 500 and thought "Wow you play this game a bit too much" (my N7 level is now 550 or something like that)

I remember when everyone wanted asari adepts because all we could fight was cerberus and asari are godly against them. Subsequently everyone couldn't wait to get their hands on the asari vanguard. Stasis, the ability to recharge shields with charge, grenades and a 360 degree heavy melee?! It will be the most OP class ever! Didn't quite work out that way though.

When, with a fully specced grenade class, you had either 2 or 3 grenades.

When 5 of the 6 maps gave you 1 grenade from Gold ammo boxes.

The jealousy the first time I played with three Krogan Soldiers in one match.
