Remember the Old Days?

When people said the Earth DLC or playable Geth wouldn't follow Lore?
When people thought you were joking about shooting off the Atlas' crotch armor or shooting Brutes in the bum? Wait... They still do...
Remember how the Mattock was your favorite weapon?
This one's going back: running around the map looking for a medigel station.

When I played my dinky little Human Engineer and watched all starry-eyed as my friend ran around Firebase Ghost as a Krogan Sentinel and crushed the ever-living hell out of everything in the demo.

I remember when you had enough time to make a cup of tea in between waves.
To be honest, I actually kinda miss that
I know, right? Nowadays I don't even have enough time to accept a friends party request mid-wave before I start getting shot at.

Back when having a Widow I with a Salarian Infiltrator automatically made you MVP of the game... My god I was revived so quickly in that game... Right next to a Phantom and a turret as well...DHKany wrote...

this game is hardly 6 months old, there are no "old days"
Compared to when it was released...
Yeah there are old days.
Ancient days even if you played the demo

I remember when everyone wanted asari adepts because all we could fight was cerberus and asari are godly against them. Subsequently everyone couldn't wait to get their hands on the asari vanguard. Stasis, the ability to recharge shields with charge, grenades and a 360 degree heavy melee?! It will be the most OP class ever! Didn't quite work out that way though.

almost feels like cheating.

Also, for an while, me and my friends would spec completely out of PM on our SI's. Eventually figured out that it was one of the best powers in the game.
Things were tough for a while too before JEPs became permanent...

Banshees didn't suck you from half a map a way or walk through walls or teleport through any obstacle or across any map level.
Phantoms didn't shoot better than nemesis.
Every Prime shot didn't magically follow you anywhere and everywhere.
When Prime turrets were not more deadly than the Prime.
When every unit didn't stomp you to death instantly on all game difficulty levels

When the Mattock was the best assault rifle...
When I only used pistols and sniper rifles and thought most assault rifles, smg's, and shotguns were worthless..
When Geth and Cerberus were the easy factions, but Reapers were way too difficult (now it's pretty much the exact opposite)...

Challenging weekend operations
Everybody and their mother wanting the Valiant
Leechers that didn't have to run in circles
Nevereverever farming Gold on White without a Salarian Engineer (yes, i admit, i once *cries a few tears* FARMED! i was young and needed the credits. i hope you can understand and forgive me for that one day.)
Melee Geth Infiltrators who mastered that build were the ultimate badasses
First time hearing the Vorcha comments on the various enemies and nearly dying of laughter
might be more coming later. sorry if some were mentioned already, i'm to lazy right now to read the whole thread.
