My headcanon tells me that they understood that Shepard had to destroy synthetics in order to save the galaxy from the Reapers, so Joker probably guessed by then that EDI would've died too.

I can imagine Shepard waking up in a hospital bed, talking to everyone when someone suddenly says something like.

"Shepard. Did you hear about Edi and the Ge-"

"NOTHING YOU CAN PROVE!!!"

Shepard is brain dead.

Even if somehow that sack of meat is still technically alive, it's not going to be capable of coherent thought, much less worrying about how to describe the world's most rotten child.

I don't have to. She is alive.

...

(And she is not alone)

Yeah but you chose synthesis. The OP's post is about Destroy.

EDI is not "dead", it's the Normandy's computer. Since the Normandy suffered only minor damage, they can simply find another "sexy" platform to upload "EDI" when they get off the small "jungle planet".

Sure, hiding the truth does nothing good, and would just make things worse compared to if it were to be inevitably found out later.

My shepard going with the truth, joker can understand.

But off the record: How can you kill software? no delete, no turn off, "KILL" how can you do that?

yes, sure why not?

if joker think his bot lover more important than the fate of the galaxy, I think normandy need
a new pilot...

Do I need to tell him that aside from killing edi, there is an option to mess with DNA and kept
the Reaper around? if he okay with that, too bad then, the one who choose didn't.

But telling the truth will cause lot of trouble. Some things are better kept secret.

payback for his sorry a** not leaving the cockpit on the SR-1 causing my femshep to save the clown and eventually leading to her eath

No, my Sheppard wouldn't. He'd rather take Joker to some asari dancer club to ease his pain ;)

Yes I would always tell the truth to my closest friends, I'd explain them in details what happened up there and how destroy was the only way to get rid of the reapers treat once and for all. That said Joker chose to flee and let his commander die, so this isn't going to happen.

As Destroy was going to shut down Shepards various cybernetic implants I think the chances of surviving to tell the tale are fairly slim even in the Shepard survives ending.

However I think if I were Shepard I'd go for, "Hey I didn't want to build the Crucible, it was Liara's idea".

Well Garrus also has a lot of cybernetics(being shot by a big machine gun and taking a rocket in his face nearly killed him) but he's just fine.

The Quarians are also cybernetically augmented to interact with their suits.

And half the galaxy have implants in their brains. Be it translation apps or biotic amps.

They all live.

There's a chance that the highest possible outcome for the destroy pulse is weak enough so that Shepard's organic parts(like his skin) shield his implants and keep them functional.

More evidence, IIRC, is that Starboy specifically tells about people with implants being affected at lower EMS levels.

Well a good commander should be honest to all his/her crews..... Anyway shepard will be smart enuff to convince Joker "How the hell would you make love and have a family with a synthetic?"

I hire a singing telegram, like a guy in a donkey suit and he sings Joker the bad news.

If I were still alive for ME4, I would be amazed. But if I were still amongst the living I would come clean. Joker deserves to know and he also deserves to know that I fully expected to join her in the grave, so to speak. Ditto accepting responsibility for ending the Geth as well. If anything, the Reaper war wasted a lot of people and 1 race, 300k Batarians, and a few friends were killed by me as well as an assortment of bad guys.

Jack Bauer doesn't have crap on Shepard.

It wouldn't matter to my Shep. We find it creepy that Joker is sexually attracted to metal blow-up-doll in the first place. Besides, EDI has to be alive in order to die. She is not and neither is the Geth. No matter what Legion says.

I'd have to. The ECreally should have shown her and the Geth's death in destroy.

Tell the truth, "I picked this and this is why I couldn't pick the alternatives." They'll either understand or they won't, but the burden of no one knowing what really happened would be even worse, I think.

sure, secrets eat away at you. "Secrets are like herpes, if you got them you might as well spread them around "

they will find out anyways.Oh and they were a sacrifice, let them be remembered as such . and doubt anyone would actually care about the geth besides edi, and guess what she isn't there =]:crying: as shown if you choose to side with the quarians, sure there will be a few ppl that sad but hey, just rebuild them you know

but with war there are sacrifices . "Winning this war will have a high price. As it always does"

in short i would, why hide from it, just makes you think you did something wrong. Which you do but it ends the reapers threat and the geth can be replaced if you want

that is the thing though, if you don't want your shep to live with it, then choose control or synthesis. That way shep dies and doesn't have to deal with the consequences. But with destroy shepard will be seen as a hero by many, not that he is after that but considering how ppl feel about the geth i don't think anyone will think that much about it. or will like i said just rebuild them. The geth were, up until rannoch arc, considered a enemy , and killed anyone that went into their space, Edi will be hard on the crew but i think most will get over it

but "commiting genocide to prevent genocide only causes genocide" so don't get me wrong, i don't think it was right or that these are my opinions on the geth, just how the ME universe will react. some might dislike shepard for sacrificing the geth, mostly those tree hugging quarians. but it was to end the war, sacrifice one race to save 14 , logical choice , but not the right one just saying
