Eliminators specialize in close-quarters combat and hit-and-run tactics. Clad in light but durable composite armor and equipped with rapid-fire shotguns, Eliminators can cover long distances and work themselves extensively without breaking a sweat. Eliminators possess cybernetic enhancements that substantionally increase their physical strength and make their bones near-unbreakable. Eliminators are dangerous opponents and only the dumb and the brave dare mark an Eliminator off as a simple Cerberus trooper.

Eliminators are drawn from chosen individuals; agents who display courage, honor, valor and dedication to the furthering of humanity are offered the chance of becoming an Eliminator, which is, least to say, a position of honor and pride that many Cerberus operatives envy and respect. If they accept, the potential Eliminator recruit is shipped out to a top secret Cerberus facility where they are subjugated to brutal physical and physiological exercises that span for a period of several months before undergoing significant cybernetic modification. Those who fail the courses are rarely shamed; the courses are hard and brutal, even by Cerberus standards and very few make the cut. But those who do are elevated into the proud Eliminator Corps, made up of some of the roughest, toughest operatives in all of Cerberus.
