i still havent updated ios6 yet.... due to this

If you are having issues with conectivity to the GAW map - exit the Datapad. From the iphone/ipod/ipad homescreen, press the home button twice to bring up the task manager and exit/quit the datapad application.

Then relaunch the datapad and you should be able to access the GAW map. The datapad has always had some GAW connectivity issues...

This unfortunately has nothing to do with the current issue.  This new issue only happens when you update your ios.  But thank you for your advice.

I'm having this problem too and it's really pissing me off.
I just started a new run-through of the series and hope they have this fixed by the time I hit ME3...
