Got the quest to find Sten's sword, and I was able to trace it to the dwarf Dwynn at Redcliffe. Now at this point in my game Redcliffe has been overrun by darkspawn, and I can't find Dwynn.
So to my question, has anyone been able to finish this quest at this point, if so where should I look?

Sorry dude.. I did it before Redcliff was overrun.. As far as I know, look for him in his house.. Get the key to his chest from him.. Oh... & btw, bring Stern along.. he'll give you the chest key for free.. But after Redcliff is overrun.. I don't know...

If you did the landsmeet and went to redcliff that started the end of the game and you can not get the sword.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. Yes I'm at the point just before the final battle, but trying to wrap up some unfinished quest first. I cleared out Redcliffe (havn't visited the castle yet) but the game won't let you enter any buildings at this stage, so I guess I'm screwed.
I was just thinking maybe there was an alternative way that I didn't know of, but guess not.

If you're returning to Redcliffe post-Landsmeet, you wont be able to see Dwyn and get the sword. If you want to complete this quest, you'll have to reload to an earlier save.

Same happened to me on first run-through. A "where is everybody?" moment.
