Why was this so hard to make?

It's not in the TFC, it's in the BioD_Nor_203aGalaxyMap.pcc. Open or unpack it with Umodel and you'll see.IsaacShep wrote...
Noelemahc, how were you able to extract that texture with Aria's fleet from the Levi's tfc file?Noelemahc wrote...

The version where the choice isTheunsunghero26 wrote...
Question about the "Virmire
2.0"situation, is it clear that it's always a choice between the VS and
Liara? or is it just Liara and what ever squad member you have at the
time. If the former I'm glad they got rid of it. It seemed like they
were going out of there way for you to get rid of the VS (which was
Ashley for my Shepard) who from back in ME1 I always thought was more
interesting than Liara.
present makes you and Liara and whichever other squad member you brought
along be in the temple collapse. The version where the VS betrays you
on Thessia does NOT have the choice.
This actually makes the
choice devilish, as most players bring along their favourite character
and/or their LI. Which means that Tali or Garrus would probably be the
ones you're deciding against Liara on.

Agreed. The real question is why did most of what they changed, changed for the worse?Aligalipe wrote...
Since the release day of ME3 I always believed the leaked script was better than the current one. But too many in BSN hated it. I don't think Bioware changed everything due to EA, but due to fan reaction. It's sad really.

Well perhaps if people gave positive reactions they wouldn't change it. Because people would expect a detailed game like that.

This makes me wish they made something like a directors cut of the game. A lot of this stuff would have greatly enhanced the experience.
WOOT! mmm... Director's cut DLC; sign me up for one

That would be amazing and would have finished this game by 100%.

That's because EA cut theIr time off by the knee.estebanus wrote...
It's almost funny how BioWare had the ideas and knowledge to implement this in the game...but then failed epically.

We got a quality-for-a-fangame game. Not for the AAA title it was marketed as, sadly.Anchor654 wrote...
I know there was a large and dedicated team working behind Mass Effect 3, and I'm very proud of them; we still got a quality game; it just seems like something went majorly wrong somewhere where they had to cut things and push it out to release too soon.

After reading all of this, I feel both supremely depressed that this is not the game we got, but also awesome that I have indirectly 'played' what the game should have been.

EC helped me not HATE the ME universe. I am able to love it again, but I think a "Director's Cut" that includes all DLC and adds in these things would be awesome. I would buy the game over again.

Yeah I totally agree with you there. I feel kinda sad for the Mass Effect team to be honest. From the elements you data mined, we can see the ambition they had with the plot. It would have been awesome, and it was the ME3 I was hoping to experience.

The Virmire-like choice mentioned was both forced and stupid. I am glad they cut that.
Speak for yourself, I could've finally got rid of Liara.
From the looks of it, he was speaking for himself...

Like I said it a few times before.... THE POTENTIAL! ME3 could've been great! But Bioware wanted it to be mediocre.
Or they plan on milking our wallets just to get the full story
Milking us to get the full story would be actually be a best-case-scenario.
Sadly, a lot of that content that was left on the cutting room floor will probably never see the light of day.

Like someone mentioned before, a Director's Cut or a re-imagining of Mass Effect 3?
At most, the idea of a Director's Cut might cross their mind, but I don't think would they seriously consider it. I think they know well enough that they screwed up badly enough that it would be too much of a gamble.
