Pretty much everything except the store and frequent disconnects XD
What about you Derek?

As much as I like the weapon choices, I must say I enjoy the powers and power combos the most...Nothing says bro-fist quite like a biotic or tech explosion set up by a teammate. Image IPB

Multiplayer is fun because of the people I play with.
Multiplayer is fun because I'm the only person who plays melee krogan on platinum, despite it being the highest risk and lowest reward play style.
Multiplayer is fun when I can choose underpowered characters/weapons/powers and still trash the people who roll GI with piranha, fury or destroyer on the scoreboard.

Sync kills and staggers are not fun. They are lame, cheap and a cop out in place of real mechanics. These lame ass mechanics do nothing other than unnecessarily inhibit krogan and batarians, who spend more time worrying about stun lock and sync kills on platinum than they can spend on having fun and smashing stuff up. Other classes smash stuff up at range with no ridiculous penalties, is it too much to ask that up close characters get to do the same?

I love the idea of playing as a team with real people. I also love all the cool weapons, races and abilities that we are constantly getting in MP. =]

Just to toss this out there, though: I have a love/hate relationship with the store. I feel awesome when I unlock something I've long coveted, however, the infrequency of getting the stuff I actually want is quite irritating.

I like the Mass Effect universe, and the co-operative aspect of the multiplayer.

I also like the Batarian Sentinel.

Or QFI/QFE.

Loving me a shapely alien booty, rendered in all its glory by the unreal engine 3.

Biotics and their effects. Either done solo or even better with a team mate. Especially when things go flying.

I'd love to see more combos doing more awesome things as the bio-splosion is getting a bit long in the tooth.

I like killing mooks the most honestly, but I still enjoy a challenge.

I like new and unique characters that aren't played like any of the others. The fury, slayer, and paladin are my new favorites. I'm not much of a melee person, but I have fun with the new characters melee. The new melees seem actually useful.

Likes

1. Playing with friends.
2. All the different races and classes.
3. The powers.
4. The Guns. The different feel, and animations for all of them.

Dislikes

1. Vanguard bug.
2. Server disconnects and lag, especially the wave 10 disconnects robbing you.
3. Always the same game-mode. It would be nice to have something different, and fresh in that regard. Especially some kind of RP server or something, with text-chat.
4. Cloak-cheating enemies... especially the Geth. Feels like it does nothing at all for my Shadow against them.

I like it because I love the Mass Effect universe and any experience within that is something I'll probably enjoy. I also love unlocking new things and trying them out.

The second part is kind of tough with the current store though...

I like the series as a whole, but about the MP side probably the weapons and the carathers. Sometimes I go to bronze just for using those not so powefull weapons like the Avenger. The powers are also very nice, when the singulary lifts a lot of enemy to biotic explode is my personal favourite. Being a co-op game wins point with me because it my favourit type of multiplayer.

In general I think it is easy to play and fun, and has enough stuff to be done and unlock to keep me playing. There are some issues like the disconnects, the store, the glitches every now and then, but I can deal with it. Also apreciate the weekend challenges and the effort to make it look more vivid that go kill stuff(not that its not enough), not perfect but it helps.

Trying new weapons, classes, and builds. Also getting huge epeen points getting those less-skilled groups through rough matches. The variety is what keeps me playing, though. Store randomness can take a lot of time and not get anything exciting, but the sense of progress helps I have to admit. I just like playing with a different kit as often as I can.

 What Makes It Fun:

1. The combat combinations and variety. There are so many diverse ways to play even one character, let alone races in a class, and seperate classes. No other game does this so well, ever. The combat is incredible.

2. Unlocking and customization of weapons, bonuses, even looks. LOOTZ!

3. Mass Effect universe creates a foundation for deep and compeling content.

What Makes It Unfun (you didn't ask but you need to know for next time ;):

1. Some of the worst movement and control I've ever experienced in any game... ever. "One button everything, I'm wearing velcro suit in a velcro factory, I have cinderblocks on my feet" bad.

2. Worst environmental awareness in any game I've played ever (partly see 3.). Sounds of footsteps, breathing, judging distances and directions of sound, being able to see, directional damage detection. It's bad.

3. Server system doesn't work. Know why so many are hosting, because the other three players are suffering huge handicaps. 1 out of 4... it ain't good.

well? fun, hum it's not fun.
("disconnected from EA servers most enjoyable experience I have ever had")
("meleeing stuff with the Slayer while in the Vanguard glitch way above the map, with a black screen on FB.Reactor, was loads of fun, felt like doing it all the time, I mean it was not boring or silly at all.")

though to tell the truth, taking a Krogan around meleeing stuff is ok.

yea the answer to FUN must be Derek.

The satisfying feeling of people finally joining my Unknown/Unknown Gold matches after waiting for half an hour. Bonus points if they're cool people who play for fun.

Switching to private match on Bronze and making all waves untill extraction alone. Havn't tried it on silver yet. Sometimes it's good to work on mechanics alone.

It surprises me more than anyone else that I actually enjoy ME3 MP. I'm more your twenty sided dice sort of gamer, but as Mass Effect grew as a shooter, so I grew as someone whom liked to shoot.

So essentially - it's because it's lore friendly, encourages co-op, gives a decent challenge* and because I can shoot things in the face.

If it wasn't Mass Effect, I wouldn't bother. If it was PvP, I wouldn't bother. If it was too easy, or too hard, I wouldn't bother. If the combat sucked, well, I just wouldn't bother. It's a nice mix.

*though I would like to see an increase in rewards for challenge completion, as the current RNG sucks.

Derek is the only reason I can keep playing. Every day I find myself coming back to the BSN, hoping; praying that he will be here with a new question to ask us. Maybe he'll read my answer. Maybe he'll respond to it. My heart goes a flutter at the mere thought of a reply from him!

But all jokes aside headbutting as a krogan is what makes the game amusing.

For me, I think the best way to approach the question is, why ME3 MP? Given that there is plenty of other MP out there that just doesn't hold me.

I think it comes down to: it's co-op. I don't feel like I have to keep up with the communal learning curve. If someone's better than me, that should hopefully enhance my experience rather than detract from it. (Though, that can cut the other way too.)
