For me, the fun comes from its uniqueness from other modern shooter games. It has a combination of weapons, powers, classes, and RPG elements.

On a related note, I wish the game is more balanced tho. Some classes and weapon combinations just dominate the rest. It's not fun for players who want to play another class but has very few things left to be killed.

I honestly don't agree with this.  I've seen people dominate the scoreboard with characters, classes and even weapons I thought were completely useless.  Honestly, everyone complains about some class/character/weapon/power, and someone else always defends it.  Some people think Vanguard is the end-all, be-all but many would argue it's not.  What Mass Effect 3 gives is diversity, and very few if any people will excell with every setup, but every setup will have one person who excells with it.

I've been fans of ME Series since 2008 (thanks for Porting this game on PC, if not, i will never know this game forever since I don't have XBOX or PS3). The  MP game that I have played so far only CS and L4D
and now ME3MP are the best MP I played so far because:

1. Sci-Fi
I love sci-fi so much, because the feeling that you entering the strange world has never ceased to amaze me. ME Series already give me much chills when hearing Reapers Horning everytime.

2. Natural CO-OP
You are not only camping in one place, and basically to survive this game are teamworks and Knowledge of your characters, weapon and Enemy and Unpredictable Objectives Mission.

This game is not about competitiion, but this is about how you survive against the Reapers and their Indoctrinated Soldier and unite as a Galactic Soldiers

What you feel when you must destroy a husk to Giant Overcheating Stunlock Geth Prime?

3. Wide Variety of Playstyle, Power, classes and Races, RPG and Powers:

Playstyle
I've never expected dan RPG game HAS MP and it's COOP.  ME3MP really suits my playstyle and one i really love is "JUMPING" thanks for adding this.

And Melee attack is the most favorite addition for me, in the crucial time I've run out of ammo i can simply smack enemy off me

the way you BioWare implementing Jumping and melee attack It's Reminds me to one of my Favorite classic High Speed Mecha Fighting  Video Game, Virtual-On. Thanks again BioWare.

By combining Both element i can make the weirdest Playstyle the way i like example like slapping the Cerberus Soldier out of the area right to his Butt

classes:
I love that in fact one class has different playstyles. Example I like Krogan soldier for Headbutting and N7 Destroyer for spamming barrage of weapon and explosion.  Yet they still retain their status class 'SOLDIER' Nice one. I've never seen this kind of content in another MP game.

Races:
VERY WIDE !!!! I like every single races from ME. From Prothean to Batarian. They're all feel different even if they're in the same class. ANd the fact the way they respon (Example Krogan saying "IDIOT !!" when one of my friends or me shooting the Krogan in MP) makes me feel that I'm the part of ME Universe. I'm the part of following "The Reaper War"

RPG and Powers
This is why makes me love more about ME Series!! Putting level for better chance for survive last enough in Higher Difficulty? spamming power for abuse and torturing your enemy? I've never seen Many MP doing this kind of Freedom

4. Armaments
I love every weapon design and sound, especially Javelin, i love the sound and try to immitate by use my real voice (works well for me :D) And also i love the gear addition. It saved me many times. Thanks BW

5. Enemies
From Cerberus to Reapers they are for me real Pain and i love it because it varied even their strategy for killing us are different in methods. Never seen this kind of AI Enemies.

In short Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer is the most Lightning Fast Multiplayer that I've been played and the most MP that I truly can enjoy based from the Lore story, Universe, Atmosphere, Variety of Races and Gameplay

If you believe that, you're wrong.

Should clarify, not wrong in believing vanguard isn't "end-all," but believing that no one still thinks that.

Customization of characters and powers and weapons and the variety of characters in general, races specifically. Like playing a normal human, then switching toward a bad ass krogan.

Once, I was playing a Fury in a public lobby. I was stuck behind this cover with a Asari adapt, with an Atlas about 20-30 meters away and a group of soldier shooting at us. We can safely pop off about one power before taking cover again. I repeatedly prime Atlas with dark channel, attempting to create a biotic explosion with my throw, but always too slow, because the other adapt is also throwing. Eventually, I just started priming none stop, and she just kept throwing. Not a single word pass between us, but we just know the rhythm of making Giant Robots Blowup.

Its a moment like this I am glad that there is a multilayer component to this game.

To me, its the friends.

It used to be about the weapons - but all of those got nerfed.  Every week they are re-nerfed or tweaked and modified - but mostly re-nerfed.  I cannot buy the ones I want, and lets be honest, RNG is not kind to me.  What ones I like are only good for a few days because of the ner****e.  I got to enjoy the Typhoon when it was good for about 6 hours.  Do you have any idea how much it sucks to be excited for a weapon - finally get it - and then have someone steal it and make it into complete garbage?    *Shrugs*  So no - its NOT about the wepons.

It used to be the races - I really enjoy playing Salarian infiltrator.  Mordin Solus with a Valiant busting heads open and 'healing  my patients" is what I do.  But then you nerfed infiltrators too.  Pretty much every class I enjoy gets a nerf.  So no - its not about the characters.

No one wants to be a regular Joe.  What was always  cool to me was being able to enter a game that was going south, and turn it around.  Thats what a hero is in the digital game world.  (Or is it digital hero in the game world?)  I want to enter the Matrix and be like Neo, not another regular old worn out Joe.  The forces that control this realm we play in works very hard to ensure that there is no hero.  I go from being  BillyBobBadarse Shepard into a meek worthless consumables using cheesefarmer.  Its not Mass Effect 3 with Multiplayer - MP is its own little game that does not follow the same rules as SP.

The only aspect that I get out of this  game anymore that I really enjoy is the friendship and comeraderie.  When you get another Typhoon card you just shrug.  When you get level 4 ammo stuff you just mutter under your breath "Ripoff".

Playing the game, still after all these months, because of the people that are on my friendslist that weren't there when I began: the Scotsman and Englishman, the German girl who battles with English but not Gold, that amazing Swedish chick, that other crazy South African dude, the femSheppers that carried me in the beginning, that crazy Florida guy and my two kids.

What makes multiplayer fun for me primarely is the powers. Powers, and racial differences, especially things like the Fury and Slayer Teleport.

Anyways, if it wasn't for the powers we'd have a generic shooter. That's why it's even more sad to see powers underperform in comparison to guns or other powers, when they are what the game's about.

I absolutely love the different powers and the fact that I can play as different races (esp. Drell). I usually play with a friend of mine, and if possible try to cooperate with him and the other team mates (unless they're just playing around in which case I usually ignore them). I'm glad that you've added female characters to the MP, and though there's more male characters than female at the moment, at least the Earth DLC had the balance 50/50 (very appriciated by the way).

A lot of players seem to love the guns the most, but I personally haven't been able to unlock that many of either the guns or the different races (since I can't play nearly often enough to get enough credits to unlock more than a couple of packs a month). It'd be neat if some of the older rare cards were made into silver cards as you add more via DLC.

It'd also be really cool if the game gave a damage bonus when two characters cooperate to take down a target. That way it wouldn't be such a race between players to take down the spawns themselves and it'd feel more like co-op. A lot of players have really great guns now and don't really care about cooperation as they can take down most enemies themselves.

I also have to mention, since I talked to a friend about this recently, that this multiplayer forum has been the best part of the BSN since the game was released. I was vary initially, having heard a lot of negative things about multiplayer communities, but I find myself reading more in this forum than any other part of the BSN. I think a lot of that is due to you guys actually participate regularly in the discussions and have a constant presence here, even when people are upset about nerfs and disconnects. :)

It use to be the thrill of unlocking weapons. I no longer find joy in the game but yet I still continue to play and I do not know why. And I am sincere in this.

Ooh good question, lets see...

I like the powers and their diversity. Loving all the different races, though it would be good to see some new races come in. I like how you limited each char to 3 active powers and that theres never enough point for everything, it makes me try out different builds and sometimes rethink a class totally.

The few guns that i truly love seem oddly to be the guns i dont do so well with. Example being the widow its got a great feel to it, i love the sounds for it, but everytime i miss i feel like a total fool. Revenant too, muahahahaha i shall spray bullets everywhere and i didnt kill it!

The only things that truly kills the fun for me are the loading times, they really need to be improved, both the main menu bit where it loves double checking dlcs and the multiplayer searching for games/loading into games bit. Also i dislike that for every difficulty increase it just seems to equate to chuck even more mobs at them! I would prefer that the mobs were a lot tougher or maybe had nastier powers rather than the current mad zerg rush we face.

That you need REAL teamwork to win. I don't see many lone-wolf types like I see in other games. With a good team, it's money in the bank.

There's a lot I enjoy, but the powers is the thing that makes this game different than all the rest. It's like X-Men with guns. I love Mass Effect and I wish other developers were making games like this, too.

The diversity of the classes is another big reason, but that still falls in to the "powers" category. I read somewhere that all the characters initially played like Shepard: same shields, speed, melee, rolls, etc., but it was changed in development. That was a very very very wise move :)

Most enjoyable... hmm its hard for me to pinpoint exactly what keeps me playing, its more like the complete package that appeals to me.

The characters are great, weapons are mostly good, but overall I like the feel of the game, the thing that you cannot really explain.

If I had to say something, It would have to be the weapons, and the characters and the fact that its set in the mass effect universe and... :)

EDIT: I also like that its a coop game where you fight AI, and not PvP which I get enough of from other games.

The co-op gameplay, along with the sheer variety of combinations to experiment with. If I want power spam, there's a character I can do that with. If I want to sling lots of lead, there's a character I can do that with. If I want to perform a rectal exam on a banshee, there's a character I can do that with.

I love the powers and RPG elements. Also I'm addicted to the grind.

On a side note I think the community is pretty awesome. I've met some of the coolest people online playing ME3. So I guess that should count too.
