Well for one, its because it's Mass Effect. I wouldn't be playing it if I first didn't play single player first.

Beyond that, it really is everything that I loved about single player plus the added multiplayer dimension. I enjoy being able to play with either friends or randoms. Choosing character classes and loadouts. Maps are fun as well.

I do wish that there was more though. If we had at least one or two new factions and the ability to customize our characters via powers that we choose for example, that would be great.

The unending combinations of different classes/weapons/powers and how they synergize. I keep finding new ways to make different characters useful in different team/level settings. The variety is what keeps it interesting for me. More characters/weapons please... ohh and make my Typhoon X not suck : )

Coming from a person that no longer plays ME3 MP:

What I thought was fun was the coop experience with all this stuff in this Mass Effect Universe. When you compare this coop experience to other coop experiences, this allows you to pick various characters or weapons that fit your play style. Many coop games do not.

The only way for me to get back into the game is if you create big expansions to the MP. Maybe expand the scale? Maybe actual cool missions that are coop?

Bottom Line: I'm tired of simple DLC with just maps, characters, and weapons. There needs to be something big.

I really enjoy the team aspect, As I don't play many online/co-op games.

Also I enjoy placing decoys, BIotic Explosions and teleporting is too fun. I guess I just enjoy the unique characters/playstyles and maximizing their abilities.

Killing ****. Seriously I like strategy and cover but loading up the Kroguard with melee and shields, finding Phantoms and murdering them with a charge/melee makes me smile more than killing enemies before they get within 40 yards of me.

My favorite part would be using weapons in fun ways :o. i like to experiment with classes a lot and see which powers/weapon combos work best, i don't like to use the same stuff over and over :o. I don't like when stuff gets nerfed because of some minority of whiners or loud 10 yr olds. it makes the game less fun :/.

Here´s my list:

-awesome weapon design. Mattock and Harrier especially.
-enemy design. at least reaper and cerberus.
-simple kit and weapon rules plus mods/ammo. easy to learn, hard to master and heavily satisfying to just try yet another kit/weapon combo
-to some extent lore (Krogans & Geth)
- unique character design (vanguard anyone?)

For the last 6 months and up until now, I´m not able to play another game because I´m addicted to biotic explosions, clutch heavy melee kills, dodging brutes, playing living cannonball with biotic charge and shooting through the mail slots of guardians.

PS: While we´re at it, things that are not so much fun:
-unfixed bugs/glitches
-store system. the further you progress the more frustrating it gets
-unpolished user interface (DRM every time you log in/out, long load times)
-lot of disconnects & joining derp games/lobbies

Race/Chars and enemies and power/weapon interaction, by far.

I'll say as I said way back on the original forums, "the one button does everything" idea is one of the worst in vg history in this particular implementation. Just brain meltingly dumb and outdated, even in a console environment.

Aside from that and the lack of enemies and modes, it's mostly good save from some continuing glitches and balance issues. The weapons are varied, so are MOST of the chars, though the power range seems a tad small compared to amount of weapons, both in effects and utility, and balancing prevents several powers from used as anything other than a novelty.

That BW actively communicates with the community is a good thing on all counts.

Variety.

New classes and maps add new things to do. I'm happy to say i've played just about every class in the game a fair bit because just by changing classes, it's a completely different game. I can go from being a close quarters grenade launcher toting Krogan to a Drell biotic sniper. The variety of classes and playstyles is what keeps me playing. Adding new classes, weapons and maybe game modes and enemy factions helps keep me entertained.

It gives me a passion and purpose in life which my wife and kids could never hope to live up to.

Too many things. The variety, the people I play with, the powers, the weapons, the look... all of it.

I was already a fan of the series, so being able to share something I really like with friends is a great plus.

The combination of everything that makes the gameplay, without the guns or the powers it wouldnt be as entertaining, diverse enemy factions with different basic principles in their combat, the guns, the diversity of the classes and the different playstyles of those.... also the revenant's typhoon's and saber's sound are pure heavy metal :D

I love the Mass Effect story. Getting to play as the different alien races is my favorite part of multiplayer.

Hey Folks,

My question this time around is fairly straightforward if outright subjective.

The question comes down to what is it that you find most enjoyable about Mass Effect 3 Multi-Player? Is it the powers? The weapons? The races? Derek? Image IPB

Even though I haven't put much time into mp during the past couple weeks (real life sometime beckons), I've played countless hours over the past months. What makes it fun?

1.) Playing with other people - This is the first mp game i've gotten 'into'. I touched L4D and Counter Strike literally once or twice but that's all my mp experience was before this game.

2.) Carrying noobs  - Even though I'm technically a 'mp noob', I've gotten pretty good at the game and enjoy (most of the time) helping others who have lesser character builds/equipment/weapons extract during a Gold match.

3.) Promoting - I like it, even though most people on this wonderfully positive forum see that as blasphemy. I like trying out new builds, adding to my sp war assests and watching my already ridiculously high N7 go up and up and up. :D

4.) The content - Powers, races, weapons, maps, etc. all factor in why I keep playing. I especially love the detail which are put into the mp-exclusive maps. I still find myself looking around at the eye candy. Even though I've played every map dozens of times, I almost always find something new. Also, the character banter. When I'm playing a Krogan I feel like I am a Krogan. I think that's one of the most important aspects of the game the mp team has done to keep people interested. It immerses you more into the game's atmosphere.

I'm not usually a fan of multiplayer, so I was surprised. It's just fun playing with others, cooperating, and yeah, being able to play stuff that isn't human. Basically, it was fun, playing as not-Shepard.

Well, naturally, you are at the top of the list, Derek. Image IPB  So, I'll start with the rest...

2. The characters.

3. Playing with friends (and making new ones).

4. Randomly unlocking stuff. Like opening a pack of trading cards back in the day, not knowing the cool (or not-so-cool) stuff you're gonna get.

5. Co-op. Seriously. I have zero interest in PvP. I love that this game let's me join up with other people to help accomplish a shared goal.

6. The maps.

7. Objectives are fun. With favorites being Pizza Delivery and Disable 4 Things.

Shooting things
Teamwork + playing with friends
Mass Effect
Playing as different races, mainly ASARI(you know...blue, hot, biotic...those kind of stuff  )

Those would be probably main reasons for me.
