Quite frankly:

The Sheer Variety of strategy and tactics I have been able to use to great success. Few other multiplayer games have given me this much choice.

The things that I have yet to try, and the things that I have yet to find a use for are what keep this game fun.

In opposition to this, the things that I simply CANNOT Find a use for are the things which help stagnate the game for me one bit at a time. (Because I will spend over a week trying to find a use for it, and it is disappointing as all hell when my only use for it ends up being "Throw it on a caster, and dont use it.")

After that, the few, noisy, annoying people I play with.

Teamwork – It'd be cool to have this expanded on a bit, maybe with wave objectives that actually involves multiple teammates doing things together, rather than, say, an infiltrator doing everything. the pizza delivery one comes closest to this.

It is Sci-Fi
there is more to combat that point and shoot
the different abilities/races/classes
the game allows for different strategies to be used
I love the combat rolls/cartwheels
Melee attacks are integrated quite well
teamplay
Mass Effect universe

In short I like the elements that differentiate the game from the boring generic shooter

Love the universe & the gameplay.  Hated ME3SP's story.  (I suspect I don't need to elaborate as to why.  Apologies for the strong word, but I'm just being honest. And it wasn't just the ending...)

ME3MP has been like therapy.

To perhaps be a bit more specific and hopefully helpful: I like the variety and the co-operation.  You could likely make PvP work, but personally I like that you haven't tried.

As to variety: you've done a brilliant job coming up with so many ways to skin the cat (weapons, powers, characters, builds).  The thing that is perhaps missing now is different types of cat to skin!

the sensation of unlocking stuff

This is probably one of this games biggest strengths, and biggest weaknesses.

Unlocking stuff is rewarding, however.... The whole issue is rarity.

There is only one instance of rarity in the entire game, and those are the Ultra-Rares.
Outside of that, there are Cheap, Costly, and Expensive items.

Thus, Your fans get adictted to guarenteed rewards.

If you are going to try a new RNG Store in a later game, I would reccomend making it more thoughouly random.

If Veteran/Specter packs only gave uncommons half the time, and rares came from specter and premium specter packs a third of the time, people would have been used to actuall rarity by the time they got to the ultra rares (AND they would have unlocked a considerable portion of the ultra rares by the time they had maxed out everything else.)
Thus, we wouldn't be seeing the drama that was caused by people being able to max out rares so quickly, and getting dissapointed in their first actual encounter with actual rarity in the entire game.

I honestly narrow it to two things. I love the teamwork aspect...its quite awesome when u get a msg from someone u don't know outside of shooting banshees in the face. Especially when its a compliment. Helps to tighten the community imo. I also really like being able to play with the other races.. who doesn't like reaving the galaxy via drell or going blood rage crazy and headbutting an atlas lmao

Playing different characters with different powers
Setting myself different challenges Even though I'm just an average at best player.

Being stunlocked to death however is not much fun.

This is hard to narrow down into one thing so I won't. What I like about multiplayer:

1. The cooperative playstyle
2. Being able to play as non-humans
3. Playing your own character in the ME universe.

1. Shooting things in the face with guns.
2. Shooting things in the face with powers.
3. Doing the first two things with other people doing those things.
4. Playing as someone besides Shep.
5. No PvP BS.
6. More Mass Effect.

1. Playing with friends in a co-operative experience
2. using team work and strategy and the various different skill sets to acheive goals
3. Variety and customizable options which make a game richer, more personal, more immersive, more variable, and more fun
4. A solid stable game foundation with steady stable in game rules and/or physics universal to all so that the game is dependable and fair. This way you have a common suspension of disbelief reflective for that particular game and it's environment. You know when things don't add up clearly or if some one or something is affecting it in a non constructive kind of way.
5. Given the properties of #4, the game is then free to have more enrichment options to it that do not adversely affect gameplay or fun. Add ons on some games like this are expected and enjoyed.
6. Editable or consumer custom options in reference to #4 &5 are then possible and can add more fun and longevity to a game. These would be custom options players could add, edit, and share that yet do not affect games rules, environment, or physics in a non constructive way. Therefore would enhance the fun.
7. Improvements to gameplay are welcome provided the previously stated ideas are kept in mind. For a video game this might include vehicle operation and destructible environments.
8. Reliability is another key factor. Though in a way already stated, the previous referred specifically to game rules, environment and laws (such as laws of physics), this refers to how reliable the game operates. Such as, are game saves saved without corruption of code or does it have too many bugs. That is when talking video games at least.
9. Support and flexibility. Is the game linear or non linear? Are there support options, help, and/or tutorials for the game? Is the game too rigid or is it flexible? These factors also affect joy of game play.
10. FUN! Fun factor must take presidence over all others. The game shoul be first and foremost, fun. It can not be too hard, too easy, too simple, too short, too slow, or too fast.

Honestly?
It's the fact that every character isn't a dude, like in most every other shooter on the planet that'll never get my money, and that the only women we get aren't asari. We get wonderful wonderful Quarians, and humans, too! Ever since ME1 I wanted to play as a quarian.

And those women have a multitude of combat styles! They're not relegated to one role in specefic like so many other games like to cram them into while the rest of the characters are guys with a variety of abilities.

It's that great, lovely, awesome word that has been a part of the spirit of mass effect! Choice! I have choices! If i don't like one style of combat a woman offers, I can pick another, or another! And if I don't feel like one style, I can pick from others!

It means more to me than most would figure that I am not only able to play my gender in a game, but also have lots of variety in that ability to play my gender as well!

I look forward to more choices being added, too. Preferrably female krogans, female turians, more soldiers, sentinels, and vanguards. :P The chance of those additions gives me hope, and will assuredly extend my fun!

Powers, cover based combat, and the mechanics in general are nice, too.

Also I like bots! I like fighting against the AI in a co-operative scenario. PvP never fails to irk me, and it's obscenely rare to go against Bots in a co-op game, nevermind have that option, and have a blend of gender, and combat options.

These factors create a perfect storm of awesome! XD

Enough rambling outta me, I guess. Thank you, Bioware for creating the Mass Effect series.

Definitely the powers and the interaction of powers (more stuff that synergizes, please), not just a game of shooting.

The different objectives and classes all help to make it interesting though.

BTW, really need a new enemy faction.

I have absolutely hated every MP game that I've tried.  ME3 changed that with the cooperative design.  Once the PvP element was removed, all of a sudden, I was hopelessly hooked.  I hope more cooperative MP games come out.

I'm more or less burned out on ME3MP for the time being, but if more DLC comes out, I'll surely come back.

When it became evident how much time it was going to take to get my N7 weapons up to X, my interest faded.  One can only stack up so much Level 4 gear.

So, yeah.  Love cooperative, hate PvP.

Playing Mass Effect with other people in a way that is not completely similar from round to round, as it would be if I played Singleplayer.

That said, most of the reasons as to why I play is connected to the game series itself. I'm feeling that crave to play often dwindle due to all the various shortcomings (store system, bugs, lack of information on subjects) that sap my fun.

...but then there are those irregular bursts of pleasure and joy from playing the Multiplayer, and those are great. They just do not last very long. :|

DLCs, continue support with expansion to the game.

I got nearly all my Gears maxed and my UR weapons are coming along. But the enemies type is getting boring. But new DLC will keep me going though. Someone really need to make Elcor and Volus race reality.

Playing with friends, find new ways to use classes, being able to switch between classes and weapons without having to start a new SP campaign, learning new strategies for maps and factions. Really the MP experience has been great, I am always playing a different class and it is very rare that I play the same class and same map 3 times in a row. I definitely try to keep the game fresh.
