Everytime I go to the bench, the game freezes. Is there a fix for this?

Ok, now I cannot even play a mission when it goes to the shuttle bay "loading" screen. WTF is going on Bioware? I leave for awhile, come back and now things have turned into this? I never joined the bandwagon of dogging the game, but now I am prepared to call this a POS game...
