We don't have access to that charged assassination shot though. Wish that we did...could you imagine it. A two stage weapon with the fast shots, or a charged high impact shot that drained 5 points of heat.

Yeah, the Raptor need some love, for sure. Could be fun to use it on silver at least. It's not even good for Bronze right now.

The thing is: The Arc Pistol also hipfires for more damage, fires 40% faster, and doesn't even have to hipfire.

Why is my first arguement the only one that has been critisized. Nevermind never critisized from only an impossibly narrow viewpoint that makes little sense.

I like using the Raptor, but you've got to tailor your build around it I wouldn't mind either a Damage buff or a rate of fire buff.

I would..... Like to be that Naiive still.

However, Tailoring your build around it still leaves you with four weapons that leave you with no reason to ever use the thing over.

Well..... I am advocating a scimitar buff.... Buffing the scimitar would kill the eviscerator.... So I would likely have to buff the two in tandem....

Probably should go into the Inter uncommon balancing front.... Probably a buff by the same scale by which I buff the Scimitar. (Based on SMG performance in uncommon tiers, if you are curious.)

I'd like to express support for the Raptor myself. I've recently had my version upgraded to Level X, and even at that lofty stage I still find the weapon to be less useful to me than my Mattock VI. I've gone over elsewhere the problems I have with weapons like the Mantis; needless to say my dexterity and gameplay ability just isn't good enough to truly make use of one-hit headshot type weapons. I'm just not good enough for that sort of thing.

Now, I realize there are things like the Indra and the Valiant, but not everyone has access to those weapons. In fact in the early days of MP I was drawn to the Raptor specifically because it was the only suitable sniper-rifle alternative that I could use effectively. As the weapon also received upgrades faster than the rest of my stock I stuck with it, all the way up to Level VIII. At that point however I began to get access to other upgraded weapons and that's more or less when I realized what the problem was. I'll take my scoped Tempest VII over the Raptor X at this point; and that's not a good thing.

I do have to wonder just what could be done - or perhaps what we hope could be done to improve the situation here. Lord knows I'd like to see the Raptor shine again, but if the Locust-situation is any indication of what we might expect, I'm not holding my breath.

This time I have given a much better arguement as to why It should be buffed, comparing it to other things similar to it (In one way or another) in the game.

My next project will hold every uncommon outclassed by another uncommon, and use comparisons to other uncommons in the balancing of the uncommon tier as a whole.

Should be interesting, to say the least.
