Honestly. I +1 This assertation.

However, I think its probably best if the incisor keeps up with the Raptor.... With its burst fire and HORRIBLE recoil keeping it .1 weight below the raptor.

Gun handles differently. I don't see how ppl can claim = oh numbers man. Indra = Mattock numbers.
Put the two average players on the field with the same gun and your recommended attachments - it won't be the same.

Now if you're talking about Mattock v Raptor yes, they've been compared to for quite some time, I even made a thread long ago asking which is better pick in general.

Now that the Mattock is buffed, there's really no question that Raptor needs to be differentiated a bit. They handle very similarly, having to tap repeatedly for the semi-auto firing sequence. Yet the Raptor really lags behind now. It's time to address that. But if the fix is simply putting it at the same level as Mattock, then I'm afraid it's just too similar.

Raptor should posses better damage per shot, and a built in scope.
Mattock will have a lower damage rating but will have a higher RoF, less weight, more ammunition, and no hipfire penalty making it better at shorter ranges.

I believe that would differentiate them enough.

But the valiant really isn't that great on classes with only passive damage bonuses. I think the Kishock takes the king slot.

The Raptor weighs .1 more, and is immune to a large array of bonuses and buffs which would be helpful to it. It has different mods, ETC.

Buffing the Raptor to the level I suggested would put its DPS above the Indras....

This isn't a problem.

If you are saying that the Mattock/Indra are incomparable, despite the Mattocks total numerical superiority, you should not even care about my buffs effect on the Raptor.
There Is now no reason to oppose this buff if your saying that the Raptor has every right to be as good as the mattock.

Opposing the Raptor buff because I compared it to the indra is simply short sighted.... Especially since I compared it to the mattock, and based my suggested buff off of the mattock.

In fact. Those first few comparisons were just Icing on the Cake.

Basically. Saying that rarity means something in terms of power level, and saying that the Raptor has right to be as good as the mattock is totally irrational. Conflicting, even.

In your one quote, you have proved all of this.

Why? All the Comparisons I made pointed to the same place.

If you support one, but decry another....

It means that one is misguided.

Nobody here has said that the Uncommons deserve to Overpower other uncommons. So that means Rarity absolutely must mean almost nothing.

Or worse..... Bioware will nerf the Mattock.

It is something that has irked me since first beginning to read here on the forums, that there could be better, and perhaps more fair approaches to weapon buffs and nerfs.

I do have to disagree with your fourth point. While you can unlock them in any order (I myself have maxed all my rare weapons and still have few uncommons far past V) even maximizing your efficiency with obtaining rares prior to uncommons with PSP (basically 49,950c per rare) uncommons will always be obtainable and maxed more easily in the Veteran Pack's 20,000c. However, I do not mean for rares to always excell better than uncommon similars, but for there to be that trade off for greater power/fire rate/etc., as you mentioned in your first point with such things as weight.

I cannot justly compare the Indra and the Raptor, myself. I do not have the Indra as of yet so the numbers between the two are only numbers to me, I can see them, but have no in-game experience with the given sniper.

As for the Eagle, I am very diasappointed in its performance, and it needs to be almost entirely reconsidered, considering it is more difficult than an UR to obtain and level. But since the Eagle's perfomance is at such a low, I do suppose the Raptor being proportionately worse in D/S is a justifiable point given its greater weight, so I will agree with that.

Rares get their impressive strength by being heavier.

I see what you are saying, with the rares being available for purchase at the same time as uncommons. Though with rares being a minimum of 2.5x more expensive per unit to obtain, they are arguable harder to get, thus earning their rare status through having to put forth greater effort to own.

We cant have this hold too much weight, otherwise there would never be any reason to pick up the uncommons.

Especially since buying rares gives you a chance of unlocking ultra rares, the most expensive things in the game.
