Could be forgetting one or two,  I'm not sure.

I haven't seen silent hill in quite a while but I don't remember disliking it.

I actually never saw the Far Cry movie... is it safe to assume it was terrible?

@Blind, The silent hill movie (I only saw one. I heard about others but never watched them.) was actually not that bad. Had nothing to do with the original characters, but they got the most important aspect down pretty well... atmosphere!

Silent Hill actually wasn't that bad. I'm going to see the next one.

And Far Cry.... I've managed to forget everything about it besides the fact that it was horrendous.

Seems like the silent hill movie was actually better than all of the post SH3 games (heard about some Wii spin-off that got some praise, but never played it)

I think Hitman and the 1st Res Evil movie were awesome even though they didn't quite follow the story to every point

Alright just thought of something. Which is worse movies based off of video games, or movie licensed video games?

I don't think the arkham games were technically movie licensed games, but yes they were phenominal.

good point. tbh, i guess i wouldnt know, because those kind of games have been so bad all my life..
i pretty much stay away from "superhero" titles entirely, and thats what they games based off of movies always are, that or disney/pixar characters.

I didn't like the Arkham games. Then again, I find Batman to be extremely overrated and uninteresting.

Resident Evil is by far the worst though. They just keep name dropping (or rather costume dropping) with a lot of big esplosions, and they think fans will love it. Well, I saw through that subterfuge right from the start.

I like them, they're entertaining. And Afterlife had great 3-D.

the reviews of six were awful months ago and the guys are standing by their opinions.
controls, camera, HUD, story, interaction, all horrible
ive never seen a game this high profile get shredded so bad..
i dont trust reviewers anymore than the next guy, but im not wasting 60 bucks on it until i find out how real gamers feel about it.

If you have not played them I recommend the Marvel ultimate alliance games. Great party system, unique heroes with differing abilities and stats, great attention to detail.

The Eagle is not the worst weapon in the game. But I do agree with the Raptor being underpowered. The problem with the Raptor is if you put a scope on the Mattock it virtualy becomes the same weapon. The Mattock is lighter and more powerful as well. The problem with buffing the weapon is how do you buff it without making it just like something else. Give it burst fire and it will be too much like the Incisor. Give it fully automatic fire and it will be too much like the Indra. Buff weight and power and you have the same problem you had before.Too much like the Mattock. I feel that the Raptor is doomed to be the lost weapon in the game.

Never forget the 1 "movie-to-game" series that is mostly successful: Star Wars. You always get something innovative in the video games. Battlefront (1 and 2) are my favorite war games of all time, Bounty Hunter had a great story and was just sooo Gadget-superior, Jedi Knight series has the best Sword fighting in any game ever. That so far as I can tell is the only series that translates to games well

Star wars games are on a whole different level then the typical movie-to-game.

I used to love playing Battlefront 2 online, and the siege mode on jedi academy was a great team based objective multiplayer.
