Naturally. But back to tasks at hand.

I noticed that the Raptor also has that slight damage penalty when hip-fired...am I the only one who supports the Raptor not having that penalty?

 no gun should have a hip-fire penalty, its so far beyond logical i dont know how they could even come up with it....
 why would shooting something in the face point blank with my black widow make a bullet/thermalclip/laser w/e
less effective?

True, but the raptor basically was an assault rifle the turns hot glued a scope onto. It'd be a nice advantage to have against the indra: firing at full power without losing so much of your situational awareness.

(also the widow should so give a melee bonus when a krogan uses it. seriously, its a giant club!)

Interesting fact: The Raptor is only 20% stronger then the Avenger!

Seems like the Raptor should have similar damage per bullet as the current Mattock. It weighs a bit more, has a smaller clip and suffers steep penalties for firing unscoped. Plus, assault rifles have better mod options than sniper rifles (at the moment). Seeing how similar the two guns are already (and where they were at launch)...
