Most of my favorite weapons are STILL the uncommons, even though I have rank X for most of the rares--Tempest, Phalanx, Phaeston, Raptor.... these are my babies/brorifles.

After extensive testing, the weight buff made it slightly mroe useful. However, the Viper now reigns much higher over it, due to the same weight, higher damage and ease with which you can pull off consecutive headshots.
Awww, man. I love the Viper, too. Conundrum. ...Actually, I still love the way the Raptor shoots and the way it's the lovechild between the Viper and the Mattock.
When the game started out, there were a lot of similarities between the Mattock, Phalanx and Raptor. While I avoided the first, the latter two still hold warm, fuzzy places in my heart. For whatever reason, my brain still associates with the weapons as they never changed since game release, so I still stubbornly use them and lag behind on the scoreboard because I am obstinate and dated.

Can't blame you. I've got several pistols that are just better, but I'll always take my phalanx on a caster class. Something about it just feels right.

Its firecap totally justifies a damage buff, due to its resistance to most gun boosting powers....

I think it's lack of damage justifies a damage buff more so than the firecap. I don't mind it's fire rate and really wouldn't want it any faster. Just my opinion.

The higher rate of fire might actually be a better buff now that its lighter, if we are actually going for game balance.

I don't think ROF is the way to go on Raptor. It is already pretty high. Bump up damage per shot if you want to increase the damage.Rokayt wrote...

People can utilize the Arc pistol at max ROF.
Having the light raptor means that too much of a damage buff..... Isnt nessecaraly the smartest, so just removing the firecap may be enough to save this sniper....

Because from Mass Effect 1 and 2, my adept always had sniper as her bonus weapon.
So naturally I wanted a sniper that was semi automatic. Raptor did the trick.
But on multiplayer it's a bit weak for some reason.

The Raptor's not bad in its current state, but I do think that even at its low weight, it could afford to do more damage.

Alright. In the interest of adding something to the discussion:

My thoughts, too. For how much trigger-spamming the gun requires, it needs to give me a better incentive to do that.

The Indra, on the other hand, being a UR (thus, belonging to Gold +) certainly needs some attention, being *the* primary logical choice sniper for those without weapon buffing powers: the beloved Asari.
I would love this to happen.

Personally, I'd rather see the Indra buffed, and the Raptor may remain a princely rapid fire sniper: in Bronze.

Indra is actually pretty insane.
On a full sniper damage infiltrator. I felt the same way as you, but I took it out for a spin on my human infiltrator.. really quite devastating. It's unfortunate that its damage isn't too great on non-infiltrators, but most sniper rifles fit that description. If anything, indra needs a hipfire penalty reduction. 50% to 10% would make me really happy, but even 25% would be good.
On topic, I love the look of the Raptor. I also love semiautos like the Mattock and Predator. It's really no fair how much work you have to put into the Raptor to get such pitiful results.

Agree. Playing mainly Asari characters on Gold, I've tried to make the Raptor work, but, alas, in its current form, it requires too much effort and offers too little a reward.
