It along with all other sniper rifles would benefit from the removal of "hipfire penalty" as it currently limits the ability to use it across all ranges as it and the Indra would seem designed for.

I also wouldnt mind seeing a slight magazine size increase to 20. More damage would obviously make the gun "better" but I'm not sure how much I like basing every buff around DPS alone.

Personally I think the removal of the hipfire penalty and a mag increase could go a long way towards making the gun a very flexible combat option, as you could cross-map enemies while still effectively engaging in CQC.

Eh, the Raptor only takes a 15% damage penalty when hipfired, unlike the Indra's steep 50% penalty. The only reason the raptor is unimpressive when hipfired is because its damage is unimpressive to begin with.

Everything about the Raptor leads to a single complaint: Its too underwhelming, unimpressive for its cost, for its weight, and the cost it wrecks on your mouse/controller (I have lost a mouse basicly from the Raptor alone.)
The insane amount of practice it takes.

It could go down two (Or both paths,) in its current state:

Reducing the firecap (or eliminating it.)

Altering its headshot damage.

Best of all, doing both would have suprisinly little effect in comparison to doing just one: Its recoil is too high to headshot at a higher rate then its current firecap.

So you instea would get a weapon with two, very differnt schools of use for the Raptor.
People who use it like an assault rifle, burning through ammo to quickly take out enemies with minimal aiming and luck.
And people who use it like a sniper, relying on enemies standing still to rapidly elimnate them at minimal ammo cost.

Both roles could be balanced fairly easily with the current weapon.
