No, you'd still get kicked because twerps who kick don't read good threads like this nor BSN balance updates. They still keep slapping on ULMs on SMGs for their GI Javalin Snipers... on Gold.


It works just fine that IF the Raptor got buffed to your levels OP (god I wish it'd happen) that I comes out lower then the Mattock. After all it does get a free scope.

Another point to make is that the Raptor if Buff is actually ideal weapon on a Batarain Solider focusing Balisitic Baldes. It was actually how I ran the Raptor most of the time. Between double weight decrease on snipers and shorties the Raptor plugged a key hole the in engament range as a Mook Sweeper.

With BB buff a while back I'd love to bring this guy back out again if the Raptor also got a good bump.

If Bioware wants to play it safe (which they should not) then a 25% bump to start with a following 15% two or three weeks later would be the place to start.

Ehh. The Best thing to do to promote a buff is to host with the weapon, and preach the buffs via Mic.

If you are any good, you will get three more people using the gun.

Simply making the Ratpor weight less would do a signficant difference in terms of making it more desirable.

Well, I believe that if someone is really skilled, they can pull off even platinum with the common weapons, let alone uncommon (Bahroo, for example). For average players (myself included), we can make the uncommon weapons work on gold and I think, that's where things should end. If one wants better weapons and gears, they have to play the game to get it. I don't support the RNG at all, but I don't support the idea of uncommon weapons coming uncomfortably close to higher tier weapons. Some of the uncommon weapons are actually really good eg. Phalanx and Mattock. There should be some less powerful weapons for a weapon imbalance, or it will be too uniform. That's my take.

Like I said, uncommon vs and Ultra rare. I think it is fair that raptor is outclassed by the Indra.

I have an Indra IV but I had never actually checked the numbers... so even at level 1 it completely obliterates the Raptor?

I think it's fair too, I just want for the Raptor to still have a place in the endgame metagame, just like other Uncommon weapons still do.

Style, cosmetics, personal nuance. A Batarian with an Indra and a Batarian with an Indra feel very different... from personal experience. Even with a damage buff it would still feel and play different.

At level 1, its a Raptor with longer magazines and almost identical DPS to the dot, statistically.

Basically.... Personal feel is the only reason to use the Raptor. Yes?

It is inferior in every catagory currently. So you had better like button mashing screwing up your ability to aim......

I honestly wished that the Raptor had a chargeup behavior like the Arc Pistol, so you can use it similar to how the Nemesis does. But that would probably take more effort than simply rebalancing the weapon.

Sad to say, I only rarely used a Raptor when I first unlocked it. Haven't touched it in months.

Oh I know the Raptor is dogs breakfast after its been spat back up. I wish it want, why I'm posting. My point was that even if it was on equal terms with your buff suggestion it'd still play different then the UR so it's not like balance there = homogenous.

I guess I'm just to have face facts and start firing the Indra like it's a raptor *click* *click**click**click**click*...*click**click* and put it up on YouTube.

This is the kind of balance change I can get behind. I tried a match with both the the Mattock and the Raptor the other day, on an N7 destroyer. Needless to say, the Mattock far outclassed it in every possible way. I pulled out the raptor for one reason at the very end of the match. I was out of ammo in my Mattock while we were in the Extraction zone.

Even with the damage boost from devastator mode and me changing the way my hand was on the controller so I could maximize the fire rate, it was pathetic. Hell, I probably would have been better off with my level X predator.

The Raptor cannot benefit from the Destroyer fire rate boost, and due to not actually naturally firing at its current rate of fire.... Will skip shots no matter how well you time your button Presses TNTK.

I had a similar experience with the Raptor. Loved it when I got it, but quickly overshadowed by the majority of other weapons.

Still not as bad as the Viper, though.
