You're not wrong, and that's not a bad goal you suggested, either.BiowareHeph wrote...
The last thing we need is an objective that DISCOURAGES consumable use. People need to be nudged to use them more often, not less.
A better objective would have been finish wave 10 with no OHKs or bleed outs. This would encourage people to use missiles to protect each other, revive each other, and use medigels intelligently. I.e. encouraging team play and smart consumable use, not discouraging it.
Either way, this mission has discouraged me and made me less likely to want to drop into MP this weekend, and I was actively looking forward to it.

So will a "solo" or squad of one count for the squad goal?
Yes.

No. It has apparently been renamed to "squad goal" and the need for the whole team to participate has already been confirmed.Lime The Dragon wrote...
Alright, so.. once again, we must get clarification.
The
individual goal, since it's titled individual goal and not squad goal,
can we assume that ONLY YOU need to not use any consumables? Or does
anybody on the squad using a consumable ruin this goal for the current
game/match.
Correct. The squad (whether 1, 2, 3 or 4 person squads) cannot use consumables.
I mean, cool concept and everything, but there is no way to know 100% if we completed the squad goal until the operation is over without soloing, since there isn't a "Mission Accomplished" or whatever for these things.
(How many months has it been since this thing came out? For crying out loud...)
It probably won't be an issue, since people are generally cool about working to complete the goal. But just to be safe, I too will just do a solo run on Bronze to be completely safe.
*sigh* Another operation that makes me want to bop its designer upside the head.

Squad goal looks ambiguous BTW; is it spoiled if someone else on my team uses a consumable?

A small window showing some basic in-game stats of fellow coop players (consumables currently used/at disposal, current score, maybe -if possible- even their shield/health bar). I would greatly appreciate such information, as it would allow oneself to have a much better overview of what transpires on the map. The implementation shouldn't be too problematic, this information must be available somewhere. And actually it would make this operation Vigilence more transparent.

Quoted for truth.

This seems to be the case. So the best method to ensure a commendation pack will be to do what others have already suggested - solo Bronze.

No, consumable meaning the things you use up in the middle of matches (rockets, etc.) not the one-time use items you pick before starting.snarf001 wrote...
No consumables also means no gear such as warp, cryo rounds etc? Also the squad objective is unclear, if someone in your group uses a medi gel, then it screws up for the rest of the team or is it just personal?
Strictly speaking, Gear isn't a consumable/one-time-use anyway.

Bronze solo here I come. Or even a 4 person bronze game can do this as long as everyone keeps thier hands away from those buttons/keys.
Not going to help much with allied goal. I don't have that much time this weekend.

this needs to be clarified alot more. can you use ammo types? if someone in the lobby uses a rocket does it count or do you just need to not use any?
It's a squad goal, so it counts if someone uses consumable. I'm sure of it.
And you can use ammo powers.

Douchebag [Missile Launcher] Swarmer
It's til wave 10, so I'm sure someone's going to use the Missile Launcher on the last opponent.
I'm sure anyone who doesn't have a close group of friends who communicate or can't solo will have problems meeting the Squad goal. The community goal looks doable, since it doesn't mention any limitation on consumables for that. Just 250,000 drone escort missions (hopefully without that glitch that makes the drone stop right before reaching the circle like it did to me on Rio last week) on any difficulty.
