The instructions for the weekend ops should follow the above pattern...

We you need to remember that the average reading level isn't beyond the 8th grade.  And concidering the majority of players is between 11 and 16 (that's a guess) it shouldn't be too surprising.

Now 17 pages. Just to help, with thread getting longer and the same questions being repeated:

Chris Priestly has clarified:

1  It is only the supply consumables,(thermal clip, med gel, rockets and ops survival), that are prohibited
    from use (whole squad) until wave 10 is complete. The equipment consumables and gear may be used.

2  The squad can be 1, 2, 3 or 4 players. So a solo does count. 

Regarding concerns and trust issues with randoms, no help here. I will play a bronze solo to complete squad goal. Then I will play randoms. If any one in the lobby still needs to qualify for the squad goal it would be a good idea to state that in the lobby. Use the mic. I will help and refrain from using the offending consumables. If some random uses one, not a problem, any escorts will still count towards the allied goal. That has no prohibition on consumables.
We have the whole weekend. Be more optimistic that you get one game that qualifies for the squad goal. Just one that is all that is required.

No one can use the items listed.

To put it in a different way:

You must complete a match during wich no consumables were used before wave 11. It's a consumable-free match.

NO ONE.

It says quite plainly that the ENTIRE team will recieve the Comm pack, so doesn't it make sense that the ENTIRE team can't use consumables?

Oops... didn't realize someone had referenced, or asked about the "other" Consumables on all of the first 16 pages.  Hope I didn't ruin anyones day with that stupid question.

I know I've read the answer 24 times in this thread, and I don't listen or pay attention or actually take in what I read, but does the whole squad need to not use consumables?

No it Does encourage cooperative play. GENUINE cooperative play.  People's own lack of trust and the nature of a lot of gamers will make this difficult. The objective is easy, we're just going to make it hard on ourselves.

It's a legitimate concern. You can always find a guy that will ignore the goal, that has already reached it and resume playing normally, that hit medigel or whatever by reflex or accident (which happens to me quite often).
If you play alone you can only blame yourself. If you play with friends you know you can at least trust them. But with randoms, you don't know anything. Some are nice. Some don't even know there's a team.

So I'll try to do it with friends if I can, otherwise I'll solo it, then when I'm sure I got it I'll head online and try not to use consumables for the weekend. In that order.

Bright side; I won't be using any consumables this weekend. Gives me a chance to replenish my dwindling supply. Extra challenge! Get back to 255 by Monday.

I'm glad this is so easy for some, I honestly am, but I'm fairly sure I'm not going to get the squad goal this time. I just attempted a fbwgb solo and made it to the 10th wave having already had to use 1 medigel and 1 ops. The 10th was a hack and I got surrounded and then killed, a lot. So I think it's safe to say without a lot of luck I'm not making it alone. Maybe the one person I play with will be able to do it with me but of the two of us I am the more seasoned player. I don't claim to be great but I'm not bad at silver and even have some gold under my belt but soloing is just a lot harder, and with no way to heal, I may have to just help the community goal this weekend and not even try for the other.

Answered on pretty much every page since the second one. Nope, nobody can use them. Preemptive strike: You can use ammo powers etc, only the 4 "on demand" ones are out.

Well, tell you what: For the duration of the event, when I play I'll play consumable-free, even if I have already completed the goal. Anyone wanna look me up, feel free. (on PC: MrCranky).

well I've literally never used equipment in matches so not using consumables should be easy enough to not use. I've gone many matches never using them in silver and higher before. Will be fun =)

I have to agree.  And I'll admit, my post was a bit hostile. After reading page after page of "this objective sucks because no one is dependable but me"... I got a bit tired of it.

But yes, there are those folks out there that will do those things. Myself, being on PC, will be remapping those keys so I WON'T hit them automatically.
