Every time I play only one game for a weekend event, I don't get my commendation pack and have to talk to Origin customer service. They've always been fast at getting me my pack. But just to be safe this time, I documented my one game with a bunch of screenshots.

I took it easy and played Novaguard against Geth Bronze solo. Got extraction, fought my instinct to Medigel reload cancel (just incase somehow pressing Medigel counts.) I had a shield gear equipped. All wordings imply that that's ok, but I should have been extra paranoid and played without any.

Gear and ammo mods don't count, if I've read it correctly. It's if they use the ammo replenish consumable, a medigel, missile or ops survival pack ie the equipment you actively use in-game. You're fine with Cryo ammo, rail amp etc.

Just did my first ever solo (bronze). It was easier than I suspected but took three tries to get past wave 10. Demolisher with 10 grenades and a Harrier IV on white cerberus. The only issues came with the delivery mission on wave 10. I'm thinking the mission is good training for us that have gotten a bit lazy and rely on consumables too much.

Oh joy, a weekend of relying on 3 other randomers not to use any consumables. How wonderful. Although calling it an INDIVIDUAL goal is a bit of an error instead of a SQUAD goal

Solo bronze is actual more difficult than one would imagine - even for a relatively high level player. I've done it a few times before this weekend challenge and it takes some getting used to - and if you get the objective to enable/disable 4 devices you're going to have a hard time unless you're an infiltrator with upgraded tactical cloak.

Here's advice to soloing bronze:

If you have a vorcha character then use this - invest points in Bloodlust (making sure to pick health regeneration), Flamer (pick damage, duration and increased damage against shields), Vorcha Resilience (pick the options which enhance powers) and Fitness (increase health and shields).

Choose the N7 Piranha / Disciple / Reegar Carbine and maybe an SMG too (but not vital).

Go into a game against Geth (I tend to find this works well on Glacier/White or another map with close quarter areas) and just spam your Flamer (pyros and primes will drop quickly, don't worry).

Oh geez...took me 32 minutes and 34 seconds, but I did it. Vorcha sentinel with harrier and reegar on reapers bronze in vancouver, solo. Slow and steady wins the race. Barely used my flamer. Almost got killed when I got sandwiched inbetween a brute and husk, and one of those anoyingly accurate ravagers was having a shoot fest while I was trying to escape. Weeeeeeeeee!

Ok, quick question, since I'm paranoid. I finished the match using no consumables and after the totals screen it put me back into my lobby. Shortly after that I lost my connection. It'll still count, right, since I finished the match and it put me back into the lobby? If I lose out on this because of a stupid disconnect....grrrr.

Just solo bronze, pretty easy on White against Reapers.

Even though it has been confirmed here by Chris Priestly that they must not be used when going for the squad goal.

This should be easy on the PS3. The control pad is in such an awkward place I barely ever hit it in time.

It said the same as the pc splash screen described above. I suspect the 'counter argument' above that is actually referring to the op description splash image here in the forums. It's not a big deal to me, but I noticed it this morning and thought "huh. I wonder if bioware changed their minds about that. Must check the forums later".

I hope so.  Otherwise I just wasted 21:58 on a solo bronze run.  Not the easiest feat for a middle-of-the-road silver player, but I wanted to be sure there weren't any teammates using consumables.

OK, did my first successfull Bronze solo run. Only tried it once before a while ago, Shadow vs Cerberus, and got my ass handed to me on a Wave 10 Escort Mission. This time I did Kroguard vs Geth on Firebase Giant, equipped with the Reegar Carbine. It was surprisingly easy, peace of cake really. Didn't even loose my Shields once....

The squad bonus is going to really frustrating for us PS3 players who don't get any ingame status or alert notification about operations. Most players don't even know about these things.Plus barely anyone has/uses a mic. I'm going to have to keep doing a ton of bronze and hope one of them gets lucky. Already burned through four matches where someone uses a dang medi-gel. Sigh. It'd be nice if we could track these things to know when we can stop trying.

We get the packs after the operation is complete (see timer). They'll announce when the packs have been rewarded out, where which you can find them free for you to grab in the store.

Kroguard solo bronze is pretty easy against any enemy but geth are the easiest for him. Just did a solo for my pack

I do have one question, though. Using the medigel button for reload cancel, will that count against you?

I did it once then had that thought. I quit reload cancelling for the rest of the game. Now I feel like I should do another.

You don't, really. That is until sometime next week, when the Reward packs are handed out. If you want to make absolutely sure, you will have to do a solo run. But if you're new to the MP that might not be an option, well at least it wasn't for me, when I startet with MP. You will just have to talk to your Teammates, or maybe ask here in the Forums, if someone goes through a match with you....

I'd help you, but I'm on PC not PS3....

Ah well, I completed it all the way to extraction without any one-time mods against Geth on Dagger.  Used a Salarian Engineer with energy drain, decoy and a Viper X.

I completed the squad goal once with a friend on bronze, then kept playing without consumables for the rest of the night with pugs. Didn't seem like people were using consumables that much, so hopefully some of the (seemingly) newer players I played with will be getting commendation packs as well next week.

It should count. You only have to go to the completion of Wave 10 with no consumables in order to complete the squad goal. So, you could just up and die on the extraction wave, or decide to blow all your missiles into the sky, and be fine.

I just took a look at your manifest. I would suggest, if you'd like to try a solo Bronze, take your krogan battlemaster, give him the Piranha, and slap on your Stronghold Package gear. Load up any other ammo, weapon, and armor mods you want (we can use those, just not the in-match consumables). Pick a map you're comfortable with. Pick Geth. Yes, Geth. Krogan vanguard has stunlock resistance and Geth have no insta-kills. Get lucky with the objective waves, and you should have a fairly easy solo.

If you don't want to solo or aren't very good at it, feel free to hit me up. My PSN is DragonRacer13. I can set up a private Bronze room and we can easily two-man it and get you a commendation pack (already completed my squad goal tonight).

Message me, let me know. I'm happy to help. My friend list is close to maxed out, so if it won't let you friend me, send me a message. I can prune a bit and get you on long enough for the operation, if need be.
