Man 2 of every 3 mission waves were Escort for me over the weekend. I thought they'd set it to be 2 out of 3 because they were all working that way. Others had a lack of escort missions?

I had a few matches that turned at least 2 escorts. I did a few that didn't have any either.

yup. for some reason, it wasn't cropping up quite as often.
funny though, when I played earlier (operation had already ended), escort missions popped like candy...

it was very weird for me.
of all the matches I played.. it did only bring me 4-5 scort missions!!
It was like the games were glitched.. as I keep getting the " pick up stufff" missions over and over.

I'm pretty sure I misinterpreted the commendation pack goal as only me needing to not use a consumable, not the whole team.

If that is the case I probably didn't get it.

EDIT: Crap.  I came on to check the operation when it was still indiviudal goal and went and did one match this weekend thinking it was only me needing to do it.  Good job Bioware, next time please get it right the first time <_<

I had at least one escort mission per match. Though once I did get two of them in a single match. I -know- I did two matches without consumeables. As I played those matches alone. So I got a comm coming, victory, I'm not so sure about, but the mission total isn't really that high when you consider how many people play the game.

As to why someone might not have the Earth DLC...
Someone who didn't have HD space? Or wasn't aware of the DLC for some reason? Or one of the OCD types here who wanted to raise the odds of getting a certain weapon and forgot to re-install the DLC? Admittedly probably a small subset.

So, I'm curious, how does the software handle this? I assume choosing London/Rio/Van blocks anyone without the Earth-DLC from playing in your match? Ditto if you choose an N7 character??

From experience, you cannot play with someone who doesn't have the DLC. A few friends who hadn't switched on their Xboxes for a while (for shame!) hadn't realised the Earth DLC even existed and couldn't join the lobby due to "DLC compatibility".

So to answer your question; you can't play with others who don't have the DLC and vice versa.


As for the weekend, we played 5 hours worth and got 2 escort missions. We did get plenty of objectives to carry and lot's of objectives to kill, though <_<

I'm with the person who mentioned this; if you're going to have a goal like this, at least increase the probability of them cropping up. Fingers crossed we nab the victory pack!

I managed 36 escorts over the weekend mainly from solo runs to try and get the number up, done my squad goal many times over so we should pass alright. Looking forward to my shiny new Eagle IV!!
