I got maybe 10 escort missions over the weekend. They were pretty rare for me. RNG i guess.

About 30 escorts done. Solo bronze done. Played through most of saturday without consumables but Sunday would us them after seeing rockets or revives used. I seemed to get the normal or maybe slightly higher amount of escorts. And connectivity was good Friday and Saturday. Started having lost connectivity later Sunday but was overall much better than the previous operation.

Lurker and n00b to (casual) multiplaying here (*). Playing much more matches than I usually do (the op was quite handy and timely regarding a sprained ankle). No consumables used, but got just a few escort missions. Actually got a larger % of escort missions yesterday than during the op's weekend. Oh, and had more lag yesterday too, for whatever reason (thanks to whoever perceived the issue and kept reviving me - even when all of a sudden a Prime and two pyros spawned over me - from my POV).

(*) Following someone's advise and playing mostly bronze untill getting used to the game in order to avoid  being a burden to the teams...

Didn't see a lot of escort missions early but did notice they were more frequent on Sunday. Played without consumables on numerous bronze and some silver missions but am not sure the whole squad did the same. Hopefully, it was an individual challenge.

There were a total of zero escort missions in the games I played this weekend. Then again the consumable packs (aka "victory packs) aren't that important to me in the end.

Ok I may be wrong and in the end we achieved the objective of the mission.
BUT ... I think unlikely, because that goal of not using consumables proved treacherous.

The action itself was simple. It was enough that ALL members of the squad did not use consumables. But in practice, always a retard who had fired their missiles ... and this was the only consumable condition we had to realize when it was used. The other three (medigel, Spec Ops and Thermal Clips), you could not tell.

We had two goals squad: 250k scorts and 4 players acting together, synergistically.

So ... if anyone on the team could use consumables, it just forcing many players to play alone to complete the mission, as proved annoying to play cooperatively.

Maybe we were meant to fail? Because I only got a handful of escorts all weekend...

You do realize that the "no consumables" restriction was only for the squad goal, right?  There was no such restriction on the 250K escort Allied Goal.

Technically the restriction for the squad was for the allied as well if you actually tried to go for both every game.

AT&T was having issues all weekend in Florida, so my girlfriend and I were barely able to get on to do the squad goal, let alone any escort missions.

I only managed to play three games this past weekend, all on Sunday. All had escort missions, but one was a flop and everyone died. As for the other two, did anyone use a consumable? I don't think so, but I can't know for sure.

Hearing that escort missions weren't showing up right on Saturday raises an interesting story possibility: "Our drones were themselves sabotaged! This mission was a failure before it even began, but now we get to hunt down those responsible."

wow...this is the first time I was confused, I did the goal, but unfortunately duped all my friends, and was the dedicated medigel guy in all our games when someone needed it, now I feel like the biggest dick.

It is generally said by 3-4 hours from now, Packs may come later.

Packs usually start going out late in the afternoon. I tend to get mine around 5PM or just before that on Tuesday. I would expect the announcement about success or failure just about anytime now.

Last night almost every game had 1-2 Escort Missions. They must have flipped a switch on the weekend to make them a rare occurrence.
