Interesting way to stop players from missile glitching for the weekend. Bioware should get a few days break from hearing about that for a change lol.

Squad Goal: Complete up to and including wave 10 on any difficulty without using a consumable (medi-gel, ammo, Ops pack or Cobra missile launcher)

Well i'm out of medi-gel personally so... :bandit: Remind me not to play demolisher.

Well, any character is viable to do this goal from level 1 on up in bronze, but it certainly would be an extra challenge to play any grenade-focused class in the higher levels.

It's a terrible goal for three reasons:
1.  There's no way for PUG players to be assured of victory outside of soloing.
2.  There's no feedback in game or after to tell you who has or hasn't used consumables.  I think it would be fun to try silver/gold games to do this operation, but even if you talk to everyone before commencing a match you'll never know if everyone followed through and thus you won't know who lied and should be kicked before the the next attempt.
3.  PUG players in particular already have problems with people who won't use their consumables (Medi-Gels and Cobras for sure; again, who knows about the others) and, like others, I'm not sure if reinforcing this behavior in any way is good for the game.

Alright, so.. once again, we must get clarification.

The individual goal, since it's titled individual goal and not squad goal, can we assume that ONLY YOU need to not use any consumables? Or does anybody on the squad using a consumable ruin this goal for the current game/match.

(Edit: Well.. it's titled individual goal on the BW blog, but apparently Mr. Priestly calls it a Squad Goal.)

No.  It has apparently been renamed to "squad goal" and the need for the whole team to participate has already been confirmed.

Damn it.. you'd think they would iron out details like this before going public with it. /sigh

Well, atleast we know the specifics BEFORE the event actually started.

Horrible squad goal. I feel bad for anyone that can't solo Bronze without consumables.

just to clarify, does the whole team have to not use any equipment or does it just count per individual not using any gear?

It's just the four in-game "consumables" - gel, missile, ammo pack, ops pack - and yes, it requires the whole team to participate.

Individual goal is problematic for people like me who almost exclusively play pugs. I'm afraid I'll have to solo this, which is kind of sad because I don't enjoy soloing very much, and operation weekends are supposed to be fun...

What a stupid individual goal.   Even the pugs in bronze will struggle with this one.  How will you know if someone uses an ops pack or thermal clip???   Medigel and missles are obvious.  I may have to do a solo bronze with a vanguard till I get it.

Chris has to be the worst person in history in defining the parameters of the challenge every time. Whatever he posts initially is always misunderstood. Damn, fortunately I started reading this thread after there was a clarification IN Another thread that let's you know what is actually required.
Oh, and its a terrible goal because unless you solo you can't be sure you passed, even if you did your part.

Correct. The squad (whether 1, 2, 3 or 4 person squads) cannot use consumables.

In case you're serious, no.  As long as you don't actually use the consumable, you should be fine.

The real killer is going to be ops packs and ammo packs. Especially ammo packs.

These basically rule out pugs for the squad goal because you have very little and no indication that a team mate used them respectively, so you can think you did it because no one used medigel, and you saw no cobra missiles, or no ops packs flashes or noises from anyone near you, and still be silently trolled by someone popping an ammo pack.

Another goal where it's better to solo than play with other people in a multiplayer. This is levels of stupid I can't even fathom.

Yes I usually like to help RANDOMS get their commendation packs, but its impossible with this goal. I'm assuming there will be no challenge success notice after the match if we are successful?

Is non-consumable gear allowed?
