I never had the urge to solo. Now I guess I have no choice. How would you know if someone popped an ops pack? Do you think someone is going to announce they screwd up and caused everyone to fail the goal? So solo it is.

consumable and what is said in the operation's squad goal confuses me

it says: no consumable (gel, rocket ops pack, thermal pack)
but that's not the only consumables, are we also not allowed to use any ammo, weapon amp, and the things that go to the armor slot, as well

I'll probably do to in case of an epic solo fail.

+ I don't think this challenge promotes solo games. In a way, it is almost an ode to ultimate team play.

Just use Krogan Vanguard against Geth, easy pickings, even without gear.

Lol, page 8 and still the op is not clear enough to define the parameters. Unless there is an indicator on the mission end screen you can't be sure you passed unless you solo.

It's not the same. The challenge promotes team play, but most people suck majorly at team play so we are forced to do it. Plus, haven't you added any friends in Origin/XBL/whatever? I'll just organize something with people I met randomly and enjoy to play with (I have no real life friends that play ME, they are all about Diablo/SC/WoW/GW/whatever) and I'll do my squad goal. For me, the solo thing will be more of a self challenge, to show myself I can solo without consumables.

Unfortunately, unless you do solo or play with people you know and trust, there's no [known] way you can have any idea of whether you've completed the goal, come close, or been teamed entirely with griefers who popped an ammo pack as soon as they were by themselves.

Personal goal: Submit one operation idea because, well, you've seen ours.
Allied goal: help our overwhelmed support staff sort through the tens of thousands of "WTF didn't I get my commendation pack?" emails from the last op.

 Solo for sure, but I will still link up with friends and help them reach the squad and allied goal.
Of course you CAN use the gear (duh), weapon amps, ammo, and armor equipment.
Also, you CAN use consumables on Wave 11. So to that affect, firing off that rocket 5s before extraction isn't douchy, just ineffective.
