[Chris Priestly]

Unexpected attacks have taken out several squads and damaged vital Alliance equipment. We will deploy drones to repair damage and investigate the nature of these attacks.

Squad Goal: Complete up to and including wave 10 on any difficulty without using a consumable (medi-gel, ammo, Ops pack or Cobra missile launcher)
Allied Goal: Complete 250,000 escort missions on any difficulty.
Special Circumstance: None

Individual Goal Success: All individual players awarded a Commendation Pack
Allied Goal Success: All players awarded a Victory Pack

This challenge looks pretty good. A nice mix of goals. If anything hopefully it will keep squad cohesion up and help against loners or stragglers.

I hope so to. Though the only way to be rid of the problem is for people to actually communicate in matches (not bark orders or insult people).

Well, I like to think that if everyone is aware of the squad goal, no consumable will be used all weekend (in random lobbies at least). On the other hand, we won't really know if we completed it (again, with a random team), so that's something new.
The allied goal will be a test of the sheer number of players/games played, although it is possible that the probability of getting escort objectives will be increased by the devs this weekend.

I usually get Escort missions for all 3 objective waves, so I'm good on that, and I'll just run a couple bronze by myself to make sure I get the individual goal done.

we've definitely lost this one. Most PS3 gamers don't even know that these operations are running no way am i gonna get my whole team not to use any consumables, and drone missions hardly ever come up.

This sounds stupid, so no one can use consumables? How on earth would we know if they use a medi-gel or ammo pack?

The individual goal is easy but would be really easy for someone to stuff it up and you not even notice. Especially the ops and ammo packs as these arent displayed on the HUD. Will there be a banner countdown as that really helps.

So, how will I know if I completed the Individual Goal?

This makes me feel a bit sad if there is no way to confirm the goal. I can't just sit around playing 24/7 in hopes that someone didn't pop an OP's pack, Medigel or ran out of ammo; these things don't show up on the feeds (Cobra does).

Won't stop me from playing but as I said it makes me a bit sad.

I haven't played much since the last operation, three of my kits are still level 1 so bronze it is for the individual goal. But just to be sure, I'll disable the hot keys for the consumables.

Then why is it an individual goal and not a squad goal? Don't pull more of this misinformation crap.

This will be good. Just one point, are the consumnables in brackets the only ones not to be used? What about armour and weapon mods?
