It would be alright if consumables were disabled while the operation was on,would stop these mindless idiot's who are spoliling it for everyone,something for bioware to think about the next time.

Soloed with a Krogan Soldier on Giant with Cerberus, two missions had me running around the map deactivating stuff which was not particularly pleasant. Then did two maps with randoms, 3 of us confirmed no consumables, really hope the fourth guy did as well. Did get two escort missions on those runs.

I will be planning on not using consumables over the weekend on Xbox, happy to help others if needed.

I just did about 7-8 matches on bronze. Unfortunately, someone (I'm guessing by instinct) used a medigel and missile launcher in about 5 of them. I don't really want to complain as these ppl joined my match before I could invite those that added me for this weekend. They may not have known about this op weekend or just acted out of instinct. I did not use a darn thing though and can only hope that those two or three that I did not see any notes about missiles or medi-gels, that I've reached the squad goal. I'll be on again tomorrow afternoon gmt. I'll try a private match and invite those who added me that are online at the time. Hope we can do this, though in all those matches, I had a total of one escort mission. *crosses fingers that we do this*

Just taken me over TEN minutes to get a server connect ion to EA! 30 seconds later, connection lost. Got connected again, lost it again. Still trying.

Gave up after 30 minutes and about 10 attempts, none of which lasted more than a minute. Guess I can't help tonight!
I did complete 3 bronze matches earlier this evening without using any consumables, but cannot be sure of rest of squad members. Also, out of the 9 missions, only one was an escort.

I can say with 100% confidence that if you've played a game with me (my username is my PS3 name), that I haven't and won't use a consumable.

Solo Bronze with Kroguard, Piranha, Stronghold Package V, Firebase Glacier & Cerberus - very easy. I did it a couple of times yesterday just to practice.

Go right ahead. I'll play again sometime tonight. Be warned, while I don't use consumables I do die quite a bit after gold wave 5 and I always come in fourth (except for the time I came in first).

I usually die at least once, cos I find myself where the enemies spawn and get swarmed. I am not bothered about who comes where, so on that point, you're good *grins*

It does seem that way, but you'll need to either play a solo match or play with those who know the op weekend is on. A few of us are getting together and adding each other on PSN or the xbox equivilant so we know we'll reach the squad goal. Hope this is some help to you :-)

im on pc so no...also seems dumb that they made a specific effort to change the goal from ind to squad yet the only way to really make sure you complete it is to play ind and not in a squad...

seems like an easy solution (im not a programmer so maybe im wrong)  would be to put consumable uses in the combat log

That's true. I guess the only way for you to do it is to play with ppl you know and for them to be aware of the goals for this weekend. You are lucky in one sense as when you play an op weekend, you get a notification about the goals. Us on PS3 don't so I and many others are playing with those who know nothing about it. It is very frustrating, I can tell you.

Not really, I've had one escort in 7-8 matches. Am going to try glacier as someone said that there were a lot of escorts appearing there.

yeah i def feel for you ps3 ppl.  and ive already done a solo run and completed the goal...really just pointing out flaws hoping bioware might think about it in the future

I understand exactly what you mean!!! I'd be really happy if on PS3 we got a splash screen for MP that told us what was going on with Op's weekends. We got one splash screen once for a weekend, and I mean only once lol. I played on a sat morning ages ago, got the screen and that was it. Didn't get the screen on the sat night or the sunday. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck on this weekend and hope you get your packs. :-)
