Suggestions for weapons: N7 Typhoon and N7 Crusader, so you have a long range (N7 crusader) precision weapon (meaning get headshots) and a huge damage output (Typhoon) weapon for taking down primes.

Well, I've completed a few matches in which I'm pretty sure nobody used consumables. Can't be sure though. I might add a couple of PS3 players who have posted on this forum, to increase my chances.
Please add pikeman1000 on PSN. We all kept getting disconnected yesterday. So much so it was disgusting. We kept getting cut off in wave 11, Even though we made it past wave 10 somehow and don't think any of the matches will count.

The squad goal is the height of stupidity. Didn't quite think it through all the way? A SQUAD goal that forces people to play solo. Double nice. Bioware, here are some ideas that could have made this better:
1. Put a notification box somewhere we can see letting us know when goals are completed (squad and allied).
2. Could have made it the allied goal with the incentive of an increase to 6 cobra missles in victory pack. Sure the goal would be nearly impossible, but would give more people more incentive to participate the whole event and not just be out to just get their own reward.
3. Make the requirement be 2 or 3 people in squad not using consumables so an ignorant/greifer/just doesn't care type player could not ruin it for other people.
4. Disable consumables for the weekend or give an option to select for them to be disabled when creating the match. An easy way to program this would be to add 3 new factions to choose as enemies. Event Cerberus, Event Geth, Event Reapers. You could use this in future events to create more complicated events that force certain conditions on us.
5. Done something else.
6. MAKE IT SO YOUR SERVERS WORK ON PS3. I AM GOING TO BE TAKING THIS FURTHER BUT AM TOO ANGRY TO EVEN WRITE.

Then I get back to normal opened party, and there were a lot of people using consumables... A lot of them... So I wonder how could Bioware give more visibility to these weekends.. Too often we failed because many games were not completed according to the goals...
More banner? An in-game popup? A leader table that show the progress would also help.. So people knows that something is running besides normal games..

Ok, if solo count, it's done.. And with an escort mission too (on wave 10!)

Yah, this is a never-ending topic. I'm on PS3, and don't get any notifications. Apparently PCs and XBOX get a splash-image with the weekend operation!
There should be a constant marker (on all systems) on the multiplayer screen that shows the current operation.

Can some please clarify that solo run's are OK, done my first solo bronze run with a krogan, my god it was easy. Didn't use any consumables. So I should be good for a commendation pack.
Confirmed. See Chris's post in the similar announcement topic in the MP forum. Click on the blue BIOWARE.
(since he mentions 1,2,3, or 4, clearly a solo is okay)

Correct. The squad (whether 1, 2, 3 or 4 person squads) cannot use consumables.

Per Bioware, it is okay to use the consumable ammo/weapon/armor items for the Squad goal. Just not the "D-pad" 4 consumables (missiles, medigel, clips, OPS):

No, they do not count as consumables.

Don't worry about not being able to see their D-pad consumables. If you see a teammate use missiles or revive themselves, then you know the squad goal is down the toilet.
Just to save some people grief, this is incorrect.
Priestly clarifies on the first page of this thread that consumables for this challenge mean Thermal Clips, Ops Survival Packs, Medi-Gel and Cobra Missiles.
Single use mods to armor, weapons and ammo are o.k.! (I'm not using them, as I see this weekend as an opportunity to build up my consumables store.)
Squad size doesn't matter either.
If you are fussing about whether you made the squad goal or not, just relax. With the exception of PS3 players, I am sure with a half a dozen matches you will make it. Run six Bronze over the weekend. That's an hour and a half. (There should be plenty of people able to do Silver without consumables now, but I wouldn't expect it as much as the matches get harder.)
And yes, you can always solo it. Priestly made it clear, also, that squad size doesn't matter.
...But this is a co-op game. This challenge tests our ability and will to cooperate...
