The squad goal is the height of stupidity. Didn't quite think it through all the way? A SQUAD goal that forces people to play solo. Double nice. Bioware, here are some ideas that could have made this better:
1. Put a notification box somewhere we can see letting us know when goals are completed (squad and allied).
2. Could have made it the allied goal with the incentive of an increase to 6 cobra missles in victory pack. Sure the goal would be nearly impossible, but would give more people more incentive to participate the whole event and not just be out to just get their own reward.
3. Make the requirement be 2 or 3 people in squad not using consumables so an ignorant/greifer/just doesn't care type player could not ruin it for other people.
4. Disable consumables for the weekend or give an option to select for them to be disabled when creating the match. An easy way to program this would be to add 3 new factions to choose as enemies. Event Cerberus, Event Geth, Event Reapers. You could use this in future events to create more complicated events that force certain conditions on us.
5. Done something else.
6. MAKE IT SO YOUR SERVERS WORK ON PS3. I AM GOING TO BE TAKING THIS FURTHER BUT AM TOO ANGRY TO EVEN WRITE.
At least you were finally able to get your pack done man. Just wish we could've played more and actually got past wave 11 without a disconnect. I agree though, this isn't the only EA server based game that has given me problems like this. Thought that last match today we actually were going to pull wave 11 off without a disconnect but of course not. UGHH.

Now with this Op, I've had bouts of 2-3 games without Escort missions at all. If this is the case for the rest of the community I can say this will be a difficult challenge.

So did someone drop the ball? The Op we had that required specific objective missions to be finished, Retrieval, nearly every objective wave was Retrieval and I could definitely guarantee that I would have one per game.

Agreed, I was hoping for 1 per mission minimum, but it is what it is...More reason just to churn out bronze matches....looking at 3 matches per hour with lobby time included versus less....

the rest of the operation.

It's a squad goal that forces you to take trust in your team members. Something RL soldiers are forced to do on a every day basis.acfiz wrote...

Got a Demolisher myself!
First game I 'hosted' (Bronze) I think we did it. I actually plugged the mic in and asked that everyone was aware of the task and to not use consumables. Next game, all going well and BOOM! Someone uses a missile on an Altas :-(

The real reason is much simpler: Operand conditioning is more effective if the reward is random: If the pressing the button has a small chance of giving a reward, the monkey will keep

This^
acfiz, it's our own lack of trust and fear that would "force" you to go it solo so you can have your "stuff".
I've played 5 games and everyone was a success. No one once used a consumable. AND they were a lot of fun.

I do agree with you there, splash screen for PS3, bro! We can't get a match off because people don't know not to use consumables. Does bioware not love us?

If you want to add me on PSN, I'd be happy to play a few matches with you tomorrow. I'll guarrantee that I will not use any consumables and we'll reach the squad goals. My GT is DarkFaerie316. It is hard when a lot of PS3 players are not aware of the op weekend. We can set a private match and those invited will be from this site so we know the score. :-)
