I absolutely liked the operation. It was all about trust, something many people on these boards weren't able to give into their squads.

I played about 30 matches over the weekend, think I made it without soloing, but can't be sure entirely. Adds quite a bit of the realism of being just a small screw in the system.

I know that I made it through most of my matches without dying, and a few matches where the entire team came through, I love the destroyers grenade launcher, not sure how many people I saved from being swarmed it was satisfying to knock down a cluster of NPC's in one hit, but the combo of the wrist launcher, shoulder missile system, and ol' faithful (Saber), seemed to work really well.

I got it solo and I'm pretty sure we managed as a team, too.

Not sure how well we all did with the allied goal, Escort was the thing I got 2nd least often (more than devices, though). Hope we did it. Though the punishment for this one would be interesting I guess...

I did about 5-10 matches with friends to make sure. I also solo'ed twice.

Pretty easy op.

I solo-ed it and on wave 9 I got server fail. So I just played a bunch and think I got it with a couple different groups. I will see tomorrow, I guess...

Funny so many people say that. The individual (quad) goal was not the goal of the operation. The weekend's goal was to escort 250.000 drones. How does anyone know it was easy?

The individual goal for a commendation pack was merely a secondary goal

People see the squad goal as the primary goal of the OPs because commendation packs are actually useful - unlike the victory packs which give you jack ****.

The squad goal may be the one people focus on because of the reward, but the one they need to finish is the community. As a failure to finish it brings about dire consequences.

I actually like the consequences after failed OPs.  It changes up the game and makes it more interesting.

Played about 10 games this weekend. Only 2 on them had a single drone escort, hope others had better luck getting them. Had to solo the squad to make sure I got it, defuse objectives suck solo lol. Only had one person use a rocket tho, albeit saving my **** from a banshee.

I know for me playing without consumables this weekend made me a better player.

Just my 2 cents.

I played three matches. Quit two early because some **** used missiles in one and omnigel in the other. The third no body used consumables, that I noticed.

Which raises a question now that I think about it....were there any consequences for the Operation Broadside failure? I can't recall anything happening....think maybe there was so much stink around the clarity of the goal that there never were any repercussions....

 It was a great operation.

The fact that we were not allowed to use consumables forced us to work together as team, looking after each other and that is good, for it will improve the gameplay in future operations.

I played a lot of matches, silver mostly, with randoms (I'm StrangerToThe Sky) and was surprised of how well we played, even when in most of the cases we were seeing each other for the first time.

There were exeptions of course, newbees looking for personal glory and getting killed fast (and also getting the player, me included, triying to revive them killed, specially in wave 10 when things get nasty), but those exceptions were few, most of us knew the goals and what we had to do to achieve them, and that felt really good.

I also noticed that most of us were playing without any tipe of gear and that indicates how seriously we took the squad goal.

As for the escort missions I must inform that they were scarce, I'd say 40-50% of the macthes I played had them.

I have confidence that the operation was a success and to all people I played with, friends and randoms, I want to say: thank you mates :wizard:

Yeah, i've been in a few matches where this happens. I wish there was a way to report these people. It's pretty obvious they are doing it intentionally.

Yes, but for what? They are playing the game the way it is intended to be played - using rockets when necessary. It's hardly their fault Bioware comes up with a retarded metagame challenge that conflicts with the base game for the sake of making a more effective Skinner box.

You should blame the players then and not Bioware.  Bioware presented the challenge and from reading this froum.  Many are not up to it. .. whatever excuse.

That was your choice to play those difficulties. Same goes to whomever played with you.

If i am playing with friends, gold can be done easily without using consumables. Btw, even on platinum for most of the time i use ammo packs so i can have more grenades faster, cause i'm too lazy to go around looking for them or there is too much granade users. As for the rest, no, not rly.

Played a bunch of bronze geth with my Krogan Vanguard to help out newcomers with their squad goal. Without any threat of an instakill, he is pretty much invincible on Bronze so I was able to fly around the board murdering geth and reviving squadmates. Challenging? No. A ton of fun? Absolutely.

I don't know that we'll meet the allied goal for the reason others have given: The escort missions may not have been frequent enough.

I also played what I call "The Krogan Army Show" (altough the idea is not mine but of a friend called Pretend3rCE): our team was 4 level 20 Krogan Vanguards equiped only with shotguns, high caliber barrels and blade attachments, absolutely no other gear.

We did two matches in silver, against geth and cerberus, and no atlas, phantom, banshee, brute or prime could resist 4 simultaneous charges followed by melee strikes and carnages, we put them down very quickly.

Fun and Challenging? we laughed to tears, and it was silver, and got our squad goal too. Image IPB

The last one is a gold match we did in Rio a while ago and in wave 10 we all lost our connections, and everything else.

I'd really like that someone in Bioware wacthed it and help to correct this very frequent, and annoying, situation.

I don't think anyone got this, I am sure someone in every grouping I had used at least an ammo pack.

If you stuck to bronze... why would they? Silver... I don't get it. Gold and above... ok, but then you played with noobs, usually those players know where to get ammo.

I'll second that. No easy outs made for a very interesting game. :D
Bronze just isn't any fun anymore.

However, if it looked like a wipe, I had no qualms about busting out the medi-gel or the missile launcher to save many hind ends in a single fell swoop.
:bandit:

Is there any info as to when the data will be collated and an expected post date on the forum?

WTF? It wasn't a "per person" deal, it was ANYONE in your game? If I had known this I would've solo'd a bronze match.

Thanks for a crappy description again, EAware.

Yea God forbid you put on a mic and comunicate with the others in your party and work together. Want to know why I know I got my squad goal? I actually talk to people and comunicated throughout a bunch of matches. I got confirmation from every one in multiple matches that no consumables were used.  Don't blame Bioware for coming up with a goal that required team work and comunication In a game that is designed around team work and comunication. Just be social.

We managed Silver levels without using consumables several times. It's possible if your class choices work well together and well against the enemy. It was also a fun challenge, in a way. You really had to watch each other's backs. I even found it hard to go back to using consumables...
