Nothing special announced to be in the Victory Pack, so it's possible this is another 'fail so we can advance the story for DLC' thing.

Its just .. I've never played solo and have zero friends (never bothered).

You mean besides the splash screen that pops up when you login then pops up again after a match if you leave your current lobby?

tbh I don't think  most people would even attempt to read it.

Well us PC players are privileged in that we get the splashscreen (hopefully they fixed it adding rockets to the list of items you can't use...)
So I would say pretty much everyone on PC will be aware of the Operation. Now that doesn't mean you won't get the occasional troll who will shoot a rocket at the very last minute of wave 10, but that's another story

Time for your first solo, I reckon! You have a Kroguard, a Piranha and Stronghold gear, so you're good to go. Geth/Bronze/Reactor, job done.

The "no consumables" thing only applies for the first ten waves. Wave 11 is not counted for the squad goal.

Solo'd it today on a level 14 quarian female engineer, Rio, Cerberus, bronze.

Literally just solo'd about one minute ago, Quarian Male Infiltrator Level 16 with Mattock & Valiant & Warfighter Package 5 on Bronze FB White against Geth, easy as s***, and I never solo, three objectives were escort, hack & delivery, didn't even use consumables on extraction, give me my Valiant 3 Just keep cloaking picking up arc grenades and clearing the map of Geth, only one instance where I was within one shot of dying and I turned a corner into a Geth Hunter, no grenades left so I unloaded my mattock onto that Geth so quick that I don't even know how I made it out alive, I guess I have a really fast trigger finger because I can down a Brute or Prime in just short of 6 seconds, so that came in handy when downing several Geth in between gathering grenades.

Solo'd it on Bronze with a Krogan Vanguard. Yeah it was easy mode, but at least it got the job done. Against Reapers, it was trickier than I thought it'd be.

Had to solo...all the PUG games I tried had missle/medigel being used when it wasn't necessary.

Even though I've completed my own squad goal - the spirit of the event is still not to use consumables, and other players might not have achieved their squad goals yet.

I just went Kroguard, Hydra, Geth, Bronze. The only time my shields were down for more than a second was right at the end when I didn't want to charge for fear of leaving the circle.

After that I did it once or twice with a pair of friends so I'm done.

Did it with a Krogan Soldier against Geth Bronze. I ran around the map looking for ammo crates and lobbing inferno grenades. They kill everything but Primes in a single lob; huge radius, too. And the objectives were easy with 40% DR and a crap ton of health and shields.

Oh man am i glad i han solo'd. Every pug i was in failed the squad goal hard.
