I have played all the races (except 'city elf') and there didn't seem to be any special conversation differences with human/dwarf, but I did get a new conversation with Leliana about elves when I played as dalish elf.
Just wondering if there's any other examples of this with other companions/the other race (city elf)?

Yeah when I was a women I wanted to duel Sten right then and there, beat him so he felt miserable, then tell him to leave because he wasn't good enough to stay in the camp.... I didn't though, I'm too nice.

The only conversations that come to mind are dwarf/Ali talking about how they honor their dead, and then the elf/Leli talking about slavery.

I have played human, dwarf and currently quite far in my elf mage game. I was disappointed there were not a lot of  dialogue for my elf mage and Zevran when we talked to the Dalish elves.
The extra dialogues I got were just people being "surprised" to see an elf in expensive gear, etc.

There is also A Dalish/Alistair conversation about how the Dalish honor their dead, too.

All origins have different dialogs when Alistair asks if they ever had someone close to them die and when Wynne asks how they became gray wardens. There's points in the game where there are extra comments depending on origin. Romanced Alistair and Zev in the elven Alienage with a city elf, Morrigan meeting the Dwarf commoner's mother, and I'm sure there are others. Of course, the quartermaster at Ostegar if you're an elf.

There are several places where your Elvish ethnicity is commented on by NPCs, as well as several where your femininity is commented on if you are female elf. Plus there are comments regarding your mage class if you are a mage because magic is generally distrusted in Ferelden.

Thanks everyone, that's good to know.

I think I got most of the minor ones already, so apart from the city elf one (thanks ejoslin) in the alienage I've probably heard them all now.

Argh thanks for the reminder re Sten's useful comments on my char being a woman - hah! I got that automatically when I walked into camp one time on my first playthrough, I thought why are you telling me this? Not really interested thanks! So this time I left him in Lothering to be eaten by darkspawn.

I did get a bit sick of being told how strange it was seeing a gray warden female in my first playthrough too. After I found out the leaders of the gray wardens were females at two key points (the orlesians when the GW's came back into ferelden and obviously Sophia D) I thought geeees way to know your history Alistair!

Oh I thought of one more minor one that I don't think was mentioned - the ferry master at the mage tower... Kester? ..... makes some comments about my being an elf (dalish)

Original182 yeah I think that's what got me thinking - I was wondering if there would ever be any conversations with Zevran because I'm dalish this time.(haven't been to brecilian forest as yet) I guess not! Bah!

All that would have done is prove you aren't really a woman afterall. Women can't fight ergo the PC can't be a woman! Qunari logic at its finest.

Heh true.

It was quite good to kick his butt when he decides to challenge your leadership. I'm still not sure how my dwarf rogue managed to 'below the belt' him given the relative height differences though..... might have been a headbutt.....

@twintalons: There is a conversation with Zev, but it's a short one re: being Dalish, and his mother's gloves
