The way I feel; as long as it doesn't hinder the single player experience and otherwise pull resources/cut the story short then multiplayer is fine with me. People say that Bioware is going back to their roots with Balder's Gate BUT you forget Balder's Gate was strictly a PC game which gave them more flexibility to have a 'larger' game at the time and patching easier.
All and all though we can't really say in the long run if the multiplayer will hinder single play because we don't know if it is pulling resources away and such. As long as I get a game that is Origins quality but with some changes; ie keep the epic feeling of the story and length but I honestly rather enjoyed DA2's combat then all the rest is gravy to me.
Can we get a BioWare person to explian wtf is going on?

If you're referring to the exchange with UpsettingShorts I see that as being the other way around. He was claiming to have some sort of inside source that contradicted Bioware's public statements, essentially calling the Dragon Age team liars. But he said that I was wrong to say that the Mass Effect team lied about the MP aspect of ME3 not having an impact on the SP(which is not a baseless assertion on my part, it's provable). So i called him out for being a hypocrite and posted private messages making clear what a prig and **** he is.

It wasn't that long ago we had to put up with her(him?) constantly complaining about people complaining about the ending, telling everyone to "move on" and "get a life." Every thread about the ending, every page...
Then compaining that we "forced" Bioware to make the Extended Cut because we were "babies."

If they do a MP mode like BG and have a separate team develop it so as not to take away from SP resources then it shouldn't be awful. They seemed to have learned a few things from DA2's poor sales/reception. We're getting companion customization back(in a more limited capacity, sure), a more exciting story than just living in a crazy city, and apparently even more influence over the way the story plays out with the rumors of different ways to investigate/thwart the new threat.

I have for a while considered posting a thread about overdoing negativeness, and the masochistic impulses and the lingering bitterness that might drive us to do that.
Here's the danger and the point: We risk creating an environment where DA3 never gets a fair chance.
I for one, think we should try to avoid that.

1. I would never tell someone to 'get a life' or call them 'babies' as that's just crude.If you can prove otherwise, you're welcome to it.
2. I endorsed the Extended cut completely.I said they should stop pushing for a new ending (remake of the original) but that's it.
3. The post I did make in that section was arguing the legitimacy of the original ending.I made it a point to stay out of the Me3 section as much as possible.

By no means is anyone jamming it down your throat or holding a gun to your head saying you should play it.
