Beginning a new game.  Adding in my favorite mods and can't  remember the order to do so - been deployed in Afghanistan a few months.

I used to have a G3 booklet or cheat sheet I used but I can't find it on G3 and have my paper copy in storage.

Can someone help me find it or, if you know it by heart, here are the mods I will add?

Easy Tutu w/TOB Patch
Level 1 NPCs
Hard Times
BG1/2 Tweaks
NPC Project
Item Randomizer

Any help is appreciated.

Usually the readmes would give one enough information on this. If you want an expert opinion on this kind of thing, there is a huge installation order here:
http://www.shsforums...ld-v11-english/
It's quite extensive, so it will take some time to go through, but it is rather trustworthy. I wouldn't reccomend it for a list as short as yours though. For that amount of mods, the readmes generally are sufficient.

The G3 link you used to use might have been this one:

Thanks, but actually no this isn't it. If I ever put my fingers on the link again I'm going to save it in perpetuity.

The one I have in storage (which I can't get to right now), printed out to about 20 pages or more. It started with loading the games, patches, then proceeeded thru every possible mod, in the order they should be added.

There were warnings about those not to use if you were using something else and even notes about certain options within a mod that would be redundant or would cause an error in another mod.

It was very thorough and extremely helpful for me as a 'not-quite novice' but not much more than that player.

Actually, I think someone game me the link in no-reload or minimal reload topic string but I've not been able to find it again.

I don't know if you're referring to the BWP guide
http://www.shsforums...ld-v11-english/
That gives a lot of information about mods and a recommended order that can be used without using the BWP itself.

I used this site for installation order. It's also handy as it provides links to download locations, forums etc.

Thanks grondo0. As always!

Okay, so I've downloaded the BG Tutu but I can't get it to 'do it's thing.'

I wanted to get it going but can't figure out if it didn't install properly ot whether I'm just missing something. I expect it's the latter.

I've downloaded everything to C:Black Isle/Baldur's Gate Tutu. Inside there's a:
BG1 Tutu App
BG1 Tutu Readme
BG1Tutu Restore
BG1 Tutu folder

I right click on the app and can't get the executable going. Don't know what to do to get it to clone me BGII game and get busy on the BGI game.

Is there something I'm missing?

Have you used the installation guide linked by Satyricon331 above? I don't use Tutu, but possibilities that occur to me would be:
- not done a full install of BG1 or BG2 (all options ticked)
- not downloaded Weidu

Starting a program I would normally left-click (or double-click depending on your operating system settings), right-click then 'open' on the menu should work OK.

I'd like to highlight one word in Gron0's post.
It is FULL installation. The default installation is NOT sufficient.

If you are using EasyTutu, you shouldn't have to download Weidu as well. It comes along with EasyTutu.

You just click on EasyTutu_ToB.exe and it should just about do everything for you.

I remember when doing a full installation was nearly impossible because it would consume your entire hard drive.

Now it uses 1% of it. I'm old.

The current easyTuTu for people with ToB installed is 20.2 MB (EasyTutu_ToB.zip) and should have 5 files.

You can download it and read the instructions from here http://www.usoutpost31.com/easytutu/

Idk if it was right, but i did my BGT install before the tweaks (i think there were many that were supposed to be installed this way). I do other mods like anything related to NPCs before that (i.e. Nathaniel)

Thanks EVERYONE! I used EasyTutu and 'double clicked' on the EasyTutu Mgr exe that USSNorway shows above. All worked for that.

Actually, it was much easier than the version I was using before I went to Afghanistan last April. Don't know if there's been an update or what but I didn't have to wait for ET to 'clone my BGII installation' and then change the BG/TotSC after.

Actaully, now I'm struggling w/BG UB zip file. The weidu window dos window pops up but then disappears when I try to load it and/or says that it's looking for and can't find the dialogue.tlk file from my infinity engine.

I think I must have gotten stupid while I was over there. This USED to be so easy.

From memory BG1 UB uses a self-extracting file to start the mod installation. Sometimes the extraction function with these types of files appears to interfere with the installation. If you've not already tried it then extract the files into your tutu directory yourself and then run the executable (setup-bg1ub.exe) directly.
