Yes and he should've been the protagonist of all DA games, like Shepherd is of all ME games.

I disagree as making the warden the focus of all dragon age games would force each plot to revolve around the darkspawn. Going with non-warden characters allowing more freedom in story telling.

Precisely Bioware's point, I believe.

Personally, I'm expecting DA4 to revolve around a Qunari invasion.

Sten leading the invasion would be something to see. Personally I want to see all the Dalish clans band together and take back the Dales. I know my Dalish Warden would gladly lead the charge.

Sticking with one protagonist would have created a certain continuity and transition between games. Especially since previous characters continue onward through the series with their stories and make an impact on your "hero".   How many times are we going to act like we don't know who Flemeth is, and how can we act like we don't know that she's not human when we learned this in the previous games?

Different protagonist actually seems like a juggling act.  Plus we have to keep going back to the "rise from nothing to savior" plotline.

I do miss my Warden, but I mean we had a load of awesome times and I'm satisfied with where I left them.

It seems DA3 will take place ten years after the Blight, what do you think your Warden is doing now?

I like to picture my Warden as a ninja fighting off evil samurai.

Depends. Most of them are either with Alistair or buddies with him (all of them the latter at the minimum at least anyway) so that means giving a little helping hand ruling Ferelden, one's a paragon living it up back in Orzammar, one went off with Sten to Seheron (but later returns to Ferelden to Amaranthine of course, gotta play these characters through the expansion pack), but the one thing they all have in common is that they have little interest in carrying on as Wardens. Sure, I love the character, but the whole Grey Warden thing was something they never particularly wanted to do, and it was more of a duty, so saving Thedas from a blight, and then Amaranthine from those darkspawn incursions was enough for them, so they've retired, at least until their Calling, which unless there's a cure for (is there? I haven't actually looked at much of the lore beyond the games) they're just gonna go to the Deep Roads and kill a ton of darkspawn with the Legion of the Dead until they're overwhelmed.

...I'm kinda hoping Bioware don't bring the Warden too much in to DA3 actually, it'll probably screw up my headcanon.

I definitely miss my Warden. I'm replaying DA2 right now, and every time someone mentions my Warden, my heart leaps.

Yes :) Hopefully in a future game we'll be able to reprise our Wardens as playable protagonists.  After Awakening I felt particularly like his story wasn't over, and even more so with the ending of DA2.

Especially with my Dalish Warden, whenever Merrill talks about him in DA2.

I'm still hoping we're not going to get some ****ty off screen kill off. I want my warden to return to his beloved Leliana.

Not really. I miss my Hawke more than anything. I consider my main Warden's storyline done since he already got his happy ending. I need to see more of Hawke and co.

Not at all do I miss my old warden for one simple reason... I can go load up DA:O any time and continue playing with him and her characters. I actually approve of what they said want to do with DA being every title new protaganist. The older games remain if I wish to play with those characters again. It is not a requirement of mine to have them in every new game, expansions and DLC should be used to continue a previous character but a new title should have a new protaganist (imho). It also resolves having people who hate Hawke or Warden whining about having to play them again if new protaganist.

The ones I haven't finished with yet, yes. The ones I have, no.

DAO is a really great complete game all by itself. I'm happy with each new Dragon Age title having a new protagonist. I think I prefer that approach generally, in fact. I would rather sequels not have the same protagonist.  When I'm playing the same character I find that even small changes in the game's systems annoy me.

For example, I don't think the loss of the ability to use sniper rifles for Engineers would have bothered me in ME2 if I hadn't imported an Engineer who used sniper rifles in ME1.  And I don't think the increased walking speed in BG2 would have been as irritating if I hadn't been using the same archer character (BG2 severely nerfed archery).

I like having a new protagonist each game.

Deeply miss my Warden... I try to play the game and get stuck on the main menu, the music is so emotional. To this day I have not completed a play through of Origins without getting teary at the end where as with DA2 after a couple of playthroughs the emotions just wear off.

I listened to some DA Origins soundtrack and got the feeling of nostalgia of my warden, the Cousland family, Alistair's friendship, Sten's respect, Duncan and and the adventures you had with your other companions, plus Ferelden had a charm to it. I don't miss Anora, who would miss her?

There are definitely times I miss several of my Wardens. I'd love to hear some more gossip or rumors about them.

I would also pay to replay them but I know that will never happen and I have accepted it.

I don't miss my warden so much - all my warden's ran away with my Garrett Hawke, and now they're in my sims game writing stories and taking part in imaginary adventures lol Except my Amell mage, that would be just creepy :o As for the companions, after playing through the Mass Effect series it sort of dawned on me just how annoying the DAO companions were - Ferelden is getting invaded by darkspawn, but no!, must keep companions happy! I do miss Ohgren though, and Nathaniel Howe - it was a crime not making him romanceable. When I'm done with DA2 it will probably be Isabella, her dialogue has made me laugh out loud several times :D
