Do you miss your old Warden

I'm worried that Morrigan will show up in a new game without my warden along side, even though that's where he'd be. Will he even be remembered or mentioned? I have a hard time seeing how it would do my character justice to not be there when she shows up.

I know what you mean. Unless if your Warden sacrificed their life to kill the archdemon you don't get any real conclusion other than epilogue slides that contradict what really happens. My Warden was supposed to be roaming the world with Leliana but just vanished. Hopefully in DA3 there will at least be a mention of what happened to the Warden, hopefully no twitter death.dheer wrote...
Seems I'm in the minority but yes, I do. After Witch Hunt ended with a thud, I had hoped for at least one more game with him in high level content similar to BG2 / ToB. I followed Morrigan through the portal and then, I have no idea what happened. DA2 then got off in a side tracked story and I feel my character is still just hanging there with no conclusion.

No. I don't miss my warden. I frequently create new contents for him with toolset and other 3D application. He lives and well with Morrigan, traveling together through time and dimension. And continue to do so as long as I live. After all he is my greatest character creation.
But you don't have any problem with Morrigan continuing with the series and interacting with the world of Thedas?
No, there is no guarantee that she will return, but given the allusions that she will, it is a hypothetical question of how will you feel if your headcannon is turned upside down that she continues on in the series and play a intricate part in the DA universe; whereas, you have her retired along with your Warden.
But even if Morrigan does re-apper in DA 3 or DA 4, I'll worry about it when the time comes. Until then Morrigan and my Warden's story goes the way I want it to be.
So are you changing your answer to your Warden returning as you'll "worry about it when the time comes" too?

Nope. He's dead and buried.
That's one possible scenario that has already been addressed that Bioware will respect that your Warden's story is ended, just as those who chose to live or have the OGB in some fashion, through Alistair or yourself, will be relevant in the future series.
The question for those who chose the live option is will their Warden still be sidelined while the Thedas story continues in search of a savior? Or, should we just resign ourselves to create our own headcannon of how our Wardens will be retired and the reasons as to why that is?

Those of mine that have done the US have done so for a good reason, and I know they are fine as well.
I cherish all my Wardens, and I have 3 more in the works. So no, I don't miss the ones that are all done (dead, or with the love of their lives). I have more to play with. If I find a game that I absolutely love, I will stick with it, and play it over and over (as well as give glowing recommendations to everyone who is in hearing distance, whether they want to hear it, or not).
I get so involved in building my PC and her companions in a game that I absolutely love, that I don't even buy the DLC if it yanks my personal game OOC (out of context/character, as per my RPG play-throughs).

And I can't, since Flemeth killed him some time after the events of DA2. That's my theory, anyway.

With all that said, I don't think I would like to see my Warden in further DA games. I would love to get another DA:O DLC I could enjoy with her, but I don't want to see her in DA3 or any further DA games because I'm afraid what would become of her with all the changes that have already occurred in DAII. Creators forbid turning her into a voiced character or a DAII elf. Or dumping more of the facts about her adventures (Yes, I'm talking about you, Anders.). I'm perfectly happy with her disappearing with Alistair, with the rest left to my imagination. However, I would welcome hearing more references to her adventures from Origins and Awakening in further games. The Warden has influenced the lives of many after all.

Nope. I enjoyed Hawke more, to be honest, and I'll miss her. I never really connected with my Warden in the way I connected with Shepard or Hawke, because I felt like I couldn't truly interact with anyone since she's the silent protagonist while all of my Companions are talking and "emoting" lol.
Hawke has the perfect out; he ran away. Fled for his life. He beated a hasty retreat. Bolted out the back door of the Hangman. He cut and ran. Flew the coop. Got the Hell out of Dodge. Hotfooted it. He ran away so fast that Varric and Isabella couldn't keep up with him.

The thing is that stories never truly end BUT narrations always do.Emzamination wrote...

Personally, I would be quite happy making up my own stories as to what my warden was doing (maybe in Tevinter trying to free slaves), however, the report of a mysterious disappearance suggests that Bioware has plans which might contradict anything I make up
That idea didn't go over so well with the 'best' me3 ending because it only works if you're into reading or writing Fan fiction. Some of us need a absolute fate.
Consequently, the narration will generally end at one of 3 typical points
Death
Changed life (marriage or achieving position of power or similar)
heading off "into the sunset" for new adventures
The main game of Dragon Age : Origins ended with one of these (though the marriage was limited to human nobles)
Ultimately, there has to be a point where Bioware's narration reaches a final part and if the character is still alive it is left to the players to either imagine what the character did later or forget the character.
And when Bioware have brought back characters the result has been disappointing (e.g. Revan)
While they should explain what happened beyond the portal if the Warden went with Morrigan and why the disappearance if the warden didn't go but it is quite likely that it's best if they don't say too much.

It's highly unlikely that I'll be still here to discuss that issue. The chance is, it's likely I'll be quiting DA series and all BioWare's game. But if DA 3 turns out to be a miracle, then Morrigan's return wouldn't harm my story in anyway. She'll return to my warden when her task is done. If BioWare decide to kill her in future installment then I'm not going to buy it.Jerrybnsn wrote...

As for my warden, I'm the only one who know his character and physical appearance. There is no way for BioWare to re-create his character and turn him into a NPC. He's a blank slate character and he would never fit into BioWare's cinematic character. Any BioWare's warden who claim himself or herself as the Hero of Ferelden will be deemed as imposter and I will not recognize hin/her as my warden. So no. I have no worry about my warden.

Well, perhaps not all my characters. I had a particularly angsty, terse, up-tight Dalish elf that was extremely draining to play. And a really wishy-washy Hawke that drove me mad with his inability to take action.
Still, I miss them.
