why don't people use their mics? i get more communication and teamwork on b/s than on g/p and that's rather sad. it's boring to spend an entire game or multiple games with a group of people who won't communicate or stratagize.
why don't people talk?

I agree. When you find people with mics, add them to your friends list. Then play with friends.

My mic will usually be plugged in, but I forget to turn it on and just end up talking to myself the whole match.

There are people who just don't like to talk to people.

I usually have mine plugged, just don't use it a whole lot i PUGs. Usually I just play those for fun anyways, so I don't see the need to strategize. With friends, it's different.
Maybe I'm just weird that way.

Wireless mic. I turn it on and throw it on my bed. I'v had too many people play their terrible music through their mic for my liking.

I am the opposite.
I leave it on and talk to people about random stuff that I never intended on them hearing.

not always, i've tried many things to get people to talk....the really frustrating ones are the ones who hear you and will respond in game but still won't talk

Personally it's annoying.
When in game you can't tell who is talking unless they identify themselves.

You play worse if you talk and play at the same time. I don't want to divide my focus/attention between two events.
From my experience anyway.

To be fair, many of the people who do talk are annoying as hell.

Had a mic...it broke from multiple flights across my room.
People can be somewhat frustrating at times.

I usually talk with my friend and there is usually no one else with a mic. Just a hunch, but I think we annoy randoms as we talk about stuff that we didn't know before but is likely common knowledge to most people.

If I have the pleasure of playing with anybody in this thread, then we'll probably have a jolly ol' time and some good exchanges. Feel free to add my Origin (Schw4ngin).
Though in a pug, I usually just thank the person who revives me. If I'm feeling dangerous, I'll ask my teammates to help detonate combos (I once played a Salarian Engineer with 3 people with a Demolisher, Fury and a Human Engineer. You'd think there'd be tech bursts all over the place, but I was lucky if I got one by my own ED + Incinerate).

I have a mic/headphones because I like to sound wh0r# and not have my tv volume so high.
However, I keep my mic on mute and others in the lobby on mute. Majority of the time, it's people talking bulls#%& that I really don't give 2 sh!#s about.
For the few times I get people talking about the game, none of it is absolutely crucial life/death, mission is going to fail if I don't listen to the information.

I'm usually too embarrassed to use mine, after being mistaken for a kid because of the way it makes my voice sound. u_u

It seems like talking and communicating isn't really going on. I wear my mic muted only talk if its needed or with friends. Most of the time I wish people with mics would just shut up. They are either singing or swearing because they died again or some other bs like talking on their phone. I have kicked quite a few people due to poor mic usage. Kinect mics are the worst.
