I just manage to beat it before I refresh and seen you all's replies.

I figured out a way how to cheat beat it. HolyAvenger my strategy started out like yours, I drawn out the skeleton guys from the balcony, had my team hold their position archer those skeletons down, then slowly passed over near the front gate entry to get the other skeleton on the other side of the field near the Revenant to come out and as he was about to die from getting archeried I was suddenly pulled in. I had caught the Revenant's attention who runs out and pulls my team from their hold and starts attacking them.

I went berzerk, doing everything I could to distract his attention as the Threaten talent I had failed to do it. When I got his attention I started running circles around him as he occasionally caught a couple swipes at me, but as this occurred, I noticed my team was still archering him and Morrigan was healing me whenever my health dropped below 50%, so this went on for a good 5 minutes till he was dead.


I can't believe this is not a boss, I was expecting some achievement icon to pop up once I killed it. But oh well, it was kind of fun in the end.

Don't worry, its incredibly satisfying to get near the end of the game and start dropping revenants like flies. Shows just how powerful your party becomes.

<groan> I remember that first fight with a Revenant. Hate those guys! It's such a relief when you can get a mage's WP up far enough to make mass paralysis and petrify work on just about anyone.

my first revenant back in the days playing 2h warrior on Hard - wow this guy is so tough.. eventually i adapted.

second playthrough, nightmare DD mage - interesting, he is immune to cold .... eventually i adapted.

third playthrough, dex assasin/duelist rogue. Allister tanking, flaming weapons + momentum turn on, chop chop chop chop chop chop chop ....



and everybody were telling me MAGES ARE EASY?

To be fair, if you do Redcliffe first you might not have any specs or higher level talents. Its much more of a challenge to take on a revenant with level 5-6 characters.

Yep, that was where I was on the first go through. Took me forever to figure it out. Worse was the one in the Circle right after that. Ended up heading into the Fade with no health potions and a low level DW rogue. SUCKED!

i wasnt duelist back in the days, tbh. and you can get momentum very very early, i think even in lothering. and properly min maxed dex or cun dagger rogue with momentum = watching the game going without you doing anything for most of the time. you seriously should try it if you havent yet.
and ass/duelist is inferior to ass/bard build, but since i was grouping with Lelyana for most of time as an archer i had a bard anyway.
