lol - I actually live about 4 minutes from where a lot of the footage for Orthanc was filmed (to the West), and about 20 minutes from Helm's Deep (to the South)

Yeah, I'm in far eastern Kansas, outside of Lawrence.  It really isn't what people think of when they think of Kansas.  But I grew up as a farm kid way out west, which is exactly what people imagine.  But still pretty in it's austerity.
