Yeah...because we all know that New York had nothing whatsoever to do with the economic crisis. :innocent:
Anyway, secession is a simplistic and myopic way to look at it. Nothing and no one in our country has gotten to where it is alone, and it's not our way forward. It's the same reason I roll my eyes at my brother when he advocates Washington and Oregon seceding from the USA to form Cascadia. (Besides the fact that secession from this country hasn't really worked out very well for people in the past, of course.)
