So I was finishing another playthrough today and I got to the ending but for some reason I could not choose synthesis. I don't know if it was a bug or it was taken out in an update or something. Does this have to do with the fact that I let the Quarians die? Also at one point, the catalyst disapeared so I couldn't even shoot him to choose the fourth ending. I'd really like to know what's going on here.
No Synthesis after Extended Cut?

I have a few things for you thetruefreemo:
1: Was your war assessts close to 2,800 or above 3,000? Usually Synthesis can be picked of that range. However I haven't tried ending the Quarians so maybe that maybe be why your stuck with either or? I don't know, I frankly haven't tried offing the Quarians to know what would happen. If your war assests are bellow 2,800 then yes you are stuck with one of two endings to a potential very bad ending.
2: Yes the Catalyst being MIA is a glitch. The Catalyst is suppose to be visible and allows you acsess to a new ending if you want to shoot the catalyst.
